To celebrate the women power of the country, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, is organizing a cross-country bike expedition with “Yashaswini”, a group of women bikers of CRPF.
- A total of 150 women officers of CRPF, divided into three teams, started the cross-country rally on October 3, 2023.
The campaign was launched from three parts of the country:
- The teams rode on 75 Royal Enfield (350cc) motorbikes and began their journey through the Northern (Srinagar), Eastern (Shillong), and Southern (Kanyakumari) regions of India.
It will conclude at the Statue of Unity:
- Finally, all those teams will converge at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar (Kevadiya), Gujarat for the grand finale which is going to be held on October 31, 2023.
There will be a campaign of 10,000 km:
- The rally will cover a distance of approximately 10,000 km, passing through 15 states and 2 union territories.
Several events are planned along the bike campaign route:
- Various events have been planned in several districts along the route during the respective journeys of the cross-country bike expedition.
- These include interaction with target groups of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) like school children and college girls, women self-help groups, NCC cadets, CCI children, NYKS members, adolescent girls and boys, Anganwadi workers and felicitation of BBBP Champions.
- Apart from promoting the force's message "We are the protectors of the country", the women bikers have also included the social message of "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" in their campaign.
- Apart from promoting the Force’s message of "Desh Ke Hum Hain Rakshak", the women bikers have also incorporated the social message of "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao", into their campaign.
- They would be proudly displaying the BBBP logo on their uniforms and banners, thereby endorsing the cause throughout the country.
