India Junior shooting team finished second behind China at the recently concluded 3rd ISSF Junior Shooting World Championship 2023 held at South Korea. Indian shooters bagged a total of 17 medals with six gold, six silver and five bronze medals at the ISSF Junior World Championships 2023.
The 3rd ISSF Junior Shooting World Championship 2023 was held at Changwon, Republic of Korea (South Korea) from 16 to 24 July 2023.
It was the 3rd edition of the ISSF Junior Shooting World Championships, featuring pistol, rifle and shotgun competitions in the under 21 age group.
A total of 90 Indian shooters (the largest contingent) competed for medals at the ISSF Junior Shooting World Championships.
More than 550 shooters from 44 countries participated in the ISSF Junior World Championships 2023.
Two years ago, in the ISSF Junior World Championship 2021 held in Lima, Peru, India won 43 medals including 17 gold and topped the medal tally.
