Parshottam Rupala, the Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, in Kochi, Kerala inaugurated the 16th Agricultural Science Congress.
The four-day event aims to bring together prominent agricultural economists, scientists, policymakers, farmers, and entrepreneurs.
The 16th Agricultural Science Congress will provide a platform for them to exchange and share their research findings, ideas, and experiences. This is the first time the event is being hosted in Kerala.
The National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) is organizing the 16th Agricultural Science Congress.
The 16th Agricultural Science Congress, with the theme "Transformation of Agri-Food Systems for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals," is scheduled to be held offline from 10th to 13th October 2023 at the Hotel Le Méridien in Kochi, Kerala.
The 16th Agricultural Science Congress hosted by the ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Kochi.
The President of NAAS, New Delhi, cordially invites to attend the Congress and participate actively in the discussions.
The 16th Agricultural Science Congress aims to bring together leading academicians, research scholars, students, farmers, entrepreneurs, and others to share their research findings, ideas, and experiences related to agri-food systems.
The event enabled the formulation of plans to transform the agri-food system to meet the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) was established on June 5, 1990. It serves as a think tank to enhance productivity, equity, profitability and sustainability of Indian agriculture.
The ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) was established in 1947 under the Agriculture Ministry and later shifted to the ICAR in 1967.
