The world no 3 ranked Indian badminton pair of  Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the Thailand Open 2024 badminton men’s doubles title by defeating the Chinese duo of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in the final played on 19 May 2024.

The Indian pair defeated the world’s 29th-ranked Chinese pair 21-15, 21-15, in 46 minutes in the final at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Thailand Open was held in Bangkok from 14 to 19 May 2024.

Second title of 2024 for Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty 

The victory in the Thailand Open was the second title of the 2024 season for the Indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. They won the French Open Title in March 2024.

Also this was the second Thailand open title for the Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty pair. They had won the 2019 Thailand Open.The 2019 Thailand Open was also the first BWF Super 500 title for the India pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty.

The 2024 Thailand Open final was the fifth BWF Super 500 final of the Indian pair of  Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty and they have won all the finals.

The Indian pair earned  9200 ranking points after their win in the Thailand Open, and they are expected to become world no.1 doubles players next week. 

The Thailand Open title was the eighth title for Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty pai on the BWF World Tour. The Indian pair had won the Swiss Open, the Indonesia Open and the Korea Open in 2023.

Lee Zii Jia and Supanida Katethong wins the singles title 

Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia and Supanida Katethong of Thailand won the men’s and women's singles titles at the 2024 Thailand Open.

Men Singles Title 

Lee Zii Jia of Malaysia defeated  Ng Ka Long Angus of Hong Kong in the final to win the men’s singles title.

Women’s Single Title 

Supanida Katethong of Thailand defeated Han Yue of China to win the women's single title.

Women’s Doubles title 

Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda  Prajongjai pair of Thailand, defeated the Indonesian pair of Fabriana Dwipuj Kusuma and Amallia Cahaya Partiwi.

Men’s Doubles 

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated the Chinese duo of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi in the final.
