NCERT and Education Ministry launches e-magazine ‘Sapno ki Udaan Education 3 min read

The Union Ministry of Education released the inaugural edition of the e-magazine ‘Sapno ki Udaan’ on 23 August 2024. The e-magazine was launched on the occasion of the first National Space Day, which was observed across the country on 23 August to commemorate the soft landing of the Vikram lander of the Chandrayaan -3 mission on the south pole of the Moon on 23 August 2023.

As an e-magazine, Sapno ki Udaan's inaugural and forthcoming editions will be available online for all readers on the NCERT portal.

Who launched the e-magazine Sapno ki Udaan’?

The e-magazine was launched virtually by the Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, at a function in New Delhi. The Union Minister of State for Education, Jayant Chaudhary, also participated in the function virtually.

The function was also attended by Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, Ms Prachi Pandey, Director, NCERT, Prof. D.P. Saklani, Chairperson Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE), Rahul Singh, Chairperson of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), Prof. Saroj Sharma, and other senior officials of the Education Ministry.

Theme of the inaugural Sapno ki Udaan’e-magazine

The theme of the inaugural Sapno ki Udaan e-magazine was Space. 

All the articles, poems, etc., published in the inaugural edition are related to Space and the Chandrayaan Missions of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

About the E-Magazine Sapno ki Udaan’

The e-magazine is an effort of the National Council of Educational Research and Training(NCERT) and the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The Magazine is published quarterly, but according to Sanjay Kumar, the Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, it will soon become a monthly magazine.

The magazine includes contributions from students, teachers, and parents from across India. The e-magazine includes poetry, essays, stories, anecdotes, and riddles in English and Hindi.
