The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) has launched an incubation programme for the Startups “Samarth” to boost innovation and indigenous research in the field of telecommunications and Information Technology (IT) sectors.
Startups registered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry are eligible for the Samarth Incubation Programme.

The C-DOT will implement the Samarth Incubation Programme through the selected Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).
The STPI was set up in 1991 by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
It was set up to promote Software development and export of software and software services including Information Technology (I.T.) Enabled Services / Bio-IT from the country.
It was established by the government of India on 25th August 1984 as a scientific society to develop telecom hardware for the country.
It later expanded into a full-fledged research and development center in telecom technology.
C-DOT is registered as a publicly funded research institution with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.
It comes under the Union Ministry of Communication.
