The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced on 25 August 2023 that IDFC First Bank will be the title sponsor for all domestic and international cricket matches to be held in India .
The IDFC First Bank will be sponsor for all international matches (both women and men), domestic cricket matches like Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy, and Ranji Trophy organized by the BCCI as well as all junior cricket (Under 19 and Under 23) matches, held in India.
The contract is for three years and will start from the three-match ODI series that India will host against Australia in September 2023. IDFC First Bank will pay Rs 4. 2 crore per international game.
In July 2023 fantasy gaming platform Dream11 was awarded the cricket team's lead sponsor contract replacing Byjus. It means that the Indian cricket team ( both male and female) jersey will have the name and logo of Dream 11. The contract with Dream11 is also for three years .
It is the governing body of men’s and women;s cricket in India . It selects the Indian team for International tours and for International Cricket Council (ICC) and Asian Cup tournaments.
The BCCI is an autonomous, private organisation and does not fall under the purview of the National Sports Federation of India.
It was set up in 1928.
