Shri Bhupender Yadav launched National Transit Pass System In India Transport 3 min read

Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Labour and Employment Shri Bhupender Yadav launched the National Transit Pass System (NTPS) pan-India. Transit permits are given for transporting timber and forest products based on state-specific transit requirements. Two vehicles carrying timber and other forest produce from Gujarat and Jammu & Kashmir were flagged off, bound for West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. The QR-coded transit permits provided by NTPS will allow checkpoints spanning multiple states to validate the permits and allow seamless transportation.
