UPSC CDS (1) Final Result 2023 Released; Download Merit List PDF

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) published the UPSC CDS (I) Final Result 2023 on its official website @upsc.gov.in on 27 October 2023. The commission has shortlisted 235 candidates (156 + 57 + 22) based on their performance in the Combined Defence Services Written Examination (I), 2023, and subsequent interviews conducted by the Ministry of Defence's Services Selection Board.

The written examination of CDS (I) 2023 was conducted by the commission on 16 April 2023, followed by interviews for admission to the 156th (DE) Course of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course, i.e. No. 215 F(P) Course. UPSC CDS 1 qualified candidates can look up their roll numbers and names in the CDS (I) Meri List PDF 2023, which is available on the commission's official website. UPSC CDS (1) Vacancy 2023

According to the Government of India, there are the following number of vacancies for the different military branches:

• Indian Military Academy - 100 [including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificates (Army Wing) holders]
• Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Executive Branch (General Service)/Hydro - 22 [including 06 vacancies for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Naval Wing through NCC Special Entry) holders] 
• Indian Air Force Academy, Hyderabad - 32 [03 vacancies are reserved for NCC ’C’ Certificate (Air Wing) holders through NCC Spl. Entry]. 

UPSC CDS (I) Final 2023 Result OUT

The CDS selection process consists of two stages: a written examination and a Personality Test - Conducted by the concerned Military Services Service Selection Board (SSB). The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam twice a year. The UPSC CDS I test is a requirement for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy. There are 341 open positions in five categories: IMA, INA, IAF, OTA (Men), and OTA (Women).

Steps to Download UPSC CDS (I) Final Result 2023?

CDS 1 results are now available online in PDF format. To access your results following steps are given below:

Step 1: Visit the UPSC official website, www.upsc.gov.in, or click the direct link above.

Step 2: Click the "Final Result: Combined Defence Academy Examination (I), 2023" link under the "What's New" section on the homepage.

Step 3: The roll numbers and names of successful candidates will be displayed in a Merit List section of the Result PDF.

Step 4: Enter the roll number in the search box (Ctrl+F) to determine whether you qualify for the next step.

Step 5: Download the Final Result PDF of CDS 1 for future reference.

Important Instructions to Follow after CDS 1 Final Result 2023

It is important to note that the results of the medical examination were not taken into account when the merit lists were created. The Army Headquarters is verifying the date of birth and educational-related documents of the selected candidates.  All of these candidates' candidacies are thus provisional on this score.  Candidates are asked to send their original certificates in support of their claimed date of birth/educational qualification, etc., together with attested photocopies to the Army Headquarters/Naval Headquarters/Air Headquarters as per the first preference of the candidates.

Note: The marks of the selected candidates in the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2023 will be available on the website of the commission after the declaration of the final result of the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA).
