BSF Constable Tradesman Eligibility Criteria 2023

The BSF Tradesman test has specific eligibility conditions, such as the age restriction, qualification, medical and physical standards, and so on, that candidates must meet to take the exams.

Candidates must meet the required eligibility criteria to apply for the BSF Tradesman position and take the test. We are providing the detailed BSF Constable Eligibility Criteria for Tradesman post below:-

BSF Tradesman Nationality

To become a BSF Tradesman, a candidate must meet specific nationality requirements (detailed below).

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen. 
  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan may also apply for BSF’s Tradesman positions. They will, however, be required to show a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

BSF Tradesman Age Limit & Relaxation

The minimum age limit for BSF Tradesman Recruitment 2023 is 18 years for both male and female applicants. The minimum and maximum Constable (Tradesman) age limits are listed here.

It is required that the candidate claiming relaxation under this category produce a certificate that states that he/she has remained domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir since January 1, 1980, from either the District Magistrate whose jurisdiction he/she ordinarily resides in or any other authority designated by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on his behalf.

BSF Tradesman Educational Qualification

The educational qualifications for the BSF Tradesman Recruitment 2023 are as follows. Before applying for the BSF Tradesman position, candidates must be aware of all the prerequisites.

  • Candidates having multiple skills will be given preference.
  • Candidates having other than State Board/Central Board certificates and educational certificates shall accompany the notice by Government of India stating that such qualification is equivalent to Matric/10th class pass for a Central Government job.

BSF Tradesman Physical Standards

According to the standard height-weight chart in the Uniform Guidelines for Medical Examination Test Recruitment in Central Armed Police Forces, National Security Guard, and Assam Rifle-2015.

BSF Tradesman Medical Standards 

For the position of BSF Tradesman, the candidate must be medically fit. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their physical and mental well-being. 

  • There must be no knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, or slanted eyes in the candidate. They must be physically fit to fulfil their duties everywhere, especially at high elevations and in border regions. 

Note: Applicants who do not meet the BSF as mentioned earlier Tradesman eligibility criteria will have their applications denied and will not be able to take the computer-based exam and their candidature will be rejected.

BSF Constable Tradesman Application Process 2023

To apply for the BSF Tradesman post, one must correctly fill out the application form since no changes will be accepted after submission. The following is a step-by-step guidance to completing the BSF Tradesman application form:

  • Visit the BSF website. 
  • Apply here on the 'BSF Tradesman Online Application Form'.
  • Fill up your matriculation name, phone number, and email address.
  • To verify, an OTP will be given to the mobile number.
  • Enter the credentials and experience information for the position for which you are applying.
  • Pay the needed fees after filling out all the relevant information.
  • Following submission, candidates must download a BSF Tradesman application form for future reference.

BSF Constable Tradesman Selection Process 2023

The BSF Tradesman Selection Process uses the selection process with two phases. The first phase of the BSF Tradesman examination includes a written examination. Candidates who pass the written exam will be shortlisted for the second phase of the examination, which includes the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification, Trade Test, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

Phase-I: Written Exam 

The written exam will be the same for all positions and will focus on assessing the candidate's aptitude. The BSF Tradesman Written Exam Pattern is as follows:

  • The written exam will be worth 100 points and will include CBT (Computer Based Test) or OMR-based objective type multiple choice questions.
  • The qualifying marks for UR/EWS/Ex-Servicemen are 35% and 33% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • The level of the question will correspond to the knowledge expected of a class-10th pass candidate.

Phase-II: PST & PET

Candidates who are selected based on their performance in the written examination will be invited to take the PST and PET exams. Candidates will be requested to go through the height bar at the start, and those with less height will be excluded and will not be allowed to participate in the rest of the recruiting process.

BSF Constable Tradesman Admit Card 2023

The BSF Constable Tradesman Admit Cards will be made available by the Border Security Force 7 to 10 days before the examination. 

  • Separate admit cards are released for each phase of the selection process.
  • Those without the BSF Tradesman Admit Card will not be allowed into the exam hall.

Steps to download your BSF Tradesman Admit Card 2023 card are given below:

Step 1: Go to the official website of the Border Security Force.

Step 2: On the home page, click the “Download Admit card link for BSF Constable (Tradesman) exam”.

Step 3: Enter your login information, including your Roll Number and Date of Birth.

Step 4: After entering the security code, click the Submit button.

Step 5: The screen will display your e-Admit card.

Step 6: Download the Admit Card and print two copies for future reference.

BSF Constable Tradesman Answer Key 2023   

Candidates may get the BSF Tradesman Answer Key 2023 by going to the official website at rectt.bsf.gov.in. Candidates can use this Answer Key to verify their answers and evaluate their performance. Candidates must use their login credentials, which include their roll number and date of birth, to get the BSF Tradesman Answer Key 2023. 

Steps to download the answer key are given below:

  • Visit the Border Security Force's official webpage at bsf.gov.in.
  • On the homepage, click the “Recruitment” tab.
  • Choose “Answer Key” from the drop-down menu.
  • Click on the link “BSF Constable Tradesman Answer Key 2023”.

Candidates, on the other hand, can access their question paper, responses, and answer key, as well as raise objections (if any) via the Objection Management Window. To do so, candidates must log in to the portal with their credentials and visit the Objection tab/window to view their question paper and file an objection. Any objection(s) raised through any other method will be ignored.

BSF Constable Tradesman Result 2023

Border Security Force will release the BSF Tradesman Result for each stage individually, including the names and roll numbers of candidates qualified for that stage. Around a month after the exam, the results will be released in PDF format, along with the cut-off marks. Candidates can view/download their Tradesman Result 2023 through the commission's official website, www.bsf.nic.in

BSF Constable Tradesman Salary

Constables (Tradesman) in the Border Security Force will be entitled to get salary in the pay Matrix Level-3 of 7th CPC (Revised Pay Structure). The monthly salary of Constable (Tradesman) includes the basic pay ranging from Rs.21,700 to 69,100/-. 

Other allowance: In addition to the basic salary, the BSF Constables are entitled to other allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees from time to time.

Among the benefits granted to BSF personnel are ration allowances, medical assistance, free accommodation, free leave passes, and so on.
