SSC JHT Exam Date 2023 Announced For Paper - 2

SSC JHT Exam Date 2023  for the SSC JHT Paper- 2 2023 has been announced  via the notice issued on 21 September 2023.The Commission has decided to conduct the Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator Examination, 2023 (Paper- 2) on 31 December 2023.  Earlier, the commission announced the dates for the SSC JHT Paper -1 2023, which is scheduled to be held on 16 October 2023. Those who have applied for the SSC JHT Exam 2023 are advised to mark these SSC JHT Exam Date 2023 in their calendars and revise the curriculum to give their best in the exam.

SSC JHT Paper- 2 Exam will take place on 31 December 2023. The SSC JHT examination is a comprehensive two-stage exam designed to select candidates for positions as Junior Hindi Translators, Junior Translators, and Senior Hindi Translators across diverse ministries, departments, and organisations within the Government of India.

As the commission decided to conduct the SSC JHT Paper- 1 in October & SSC JHT Paper- 2 in December, candidates are advised to gear up for the preparation and give their hundred and ten per cent to the examination. Those who qualify the Paper- 1 will get a chance to appear in the Paper -2. Here we are providing a summary of the SSC JHT Exam 2023:-

SSC JHT Admit Card 2023 

Those who have applied for the SSC JHT examination can download their admit card by visiting the SSC’s regional website from where they filled out the application form. The commission will soon release the SSC JHT Paper -1 admit card and we will provide the direct links in this article, once it's released by the commission. Here we are providing the steps to download the SSC JHT admit card 2023:-

Step 1:- Visit the SSC’s official website.

Step 2:- On the homepage, find the admit card tab, where you will get a direct link to your regional website.

Step 3:- After clicking on the link,  a new screen will appear where you will get a link to Download (Paper -2) Call letter of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator Examination, 2023. 

Step 4:- Click on this link and fill out the required details.

Step 5:- Your admit card will appear on the screen, download the admit card and take a print out of the same for future reference. 

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2023 

The SSC JHT (Staff Selection Commission Junior Hindi Translator) examination comprises two papers, each with its distinct format.

Paper- 1:

• Paper- 1 is an objective, computer-based exam.
• It includes two subjects, namely General Hindi and General English.
• There are 100 questions for each subject for 100 marks.
• Candidates have 2 hours to complete this paper.
• The examination is bilingual, and conducted in both Hindi and English.
• Each correct answer earns 1 mark, and 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.

Paper- 2:

• Paper -2 is a subjective, pen-and-paper-based exam and focuses on Translation and Essay.
• There are a total of 200 questions in this paper for 200 marks.
• Candidates will get 2 hours to complete Paper- 2.
• Questions are set in both English and Hindi. This paper contains two passages for translation – one from Hindi to English and one from English to Hindi, along with an Essay in both Hindi and English.
• It assesses the candidates' translation skills and their ability to write and comprehend both languages accurately, precisely, and effectively.
• The difficulty level of this paper aligns with the educational qualifications required for the job.
