SSC JHT 2025 Vacancy

SSC JHT Vacancy 2025 has been announced by the Staff Selection Commission through the SSC JHT Notification 2025. A total of 437 vacancies have been announced by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for direct recruitment to Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts, including Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, Senior Translator, and Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations under the Government of India.

However, the final number of vacancies will be confirmed in due course. Any updates, including post-wise and category-wise vacancy details, will be published on the official SSC website. Candidates should note that the Commission does not collect State-wise or Zone-wise vacancies. This section will be updated once SSC releases the detailed vacancy breakup.

SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria 2025 

The SSC JHT Eligibility Criteria are outlined in the SSC JHT Notification 2025. Candidates should review these criteria thoroughly before applying for the SSC JHT 2025 notification. Nationality

A candidate must be:

(i) a citizen of India, or 

(ii) a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or 

(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia) or Vietnam, intending to settle permanently in India.

Except Indian citizens candidates must have a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.

  5. Enter personal details including Aadhar number, name, date of birth, email ID, and phone number. Submit the details to receive a Registration ID.
  6. Create your password and continue to the next step.

Stage 2: Online Application

  1. Log in using your Registration ID and password.
  2. Enter additional details such as educational qualifications, gender, and address.
  3. Upload photographs and signatures as required.

SSC JHT 2025 Selection Process

The selection process of SSC JHT is divided into two stages, i.e. Paper-1 and Paper-2, followed by Document Verification Process. 

Paper-I (Objective-type): According to the SSC JHT Notification 2025, the Paper-1 computer-based test is divided into two sections. 

Section I will consist of 100 General Hindi questions, whereas Section II will consist of 100 General English questions. In each section, there will be 200 questions for a total of 200 marks.

Paper-II (Descriptive):  Candidates who pass Paper I will be shortlisted to take Paper II of the SSC JHT. Paper II is divided into two sections: translation and essay writing. 

SSC Jr. Hindi Translator Exam Pattern

SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2025 is explained through the SSC JHT Notification 2025. Candidates who fill out the application form should check the SSC JHT Exam Pattern first and plan their study preparation accordingly. Being familiar with the exam pattern will help students to get good marks.

  • Paper I will consist of 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions, totaling 200 marks. 
  • Candidates must complete Paper-I within 2 hours.
  •  For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted in SSC JHT Paper 1.
  • If the Computer Based Examination is conducted in multiple shifts, the marks will be normalized. 
  • The questions will assess candidates' understanding of languages and literature, including the correct use of words, phrases, and idioms, as well as their ability to write accurately and effectively. 
  • The questions will be asked in Paper 1 at a degree level.

SSC JHT Cut-off Marks 2025 will be announced by the SSC after the exam is conducted. Candidates will be shortlisted for Paper-II (Descriptive Paper) based on their marks in Paper-I (Computer Based Examination), with shortlisting done category-wise. Final selection will be based on performance in both Paper-I and Paper-II. Separate cut-offs will apply for each category in both Paper-I and Paper-II.
