SSC CPO 2024 Vacancy

SSC CPO Vacancy 2024 has been announced by the Commission through SSC CPO 2024 Notification. A total of 4187 vacancies have been announced for the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces positions this year. Candidates who have chosen for the position of Sub-Inspector (SI) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) may be required to serve in any part of India. 

The Commission does not gather vacancies or allocate candidates based on states, regions, zones, cities, etc., for this examination. It has clearly stated that these vacancies are subject to change. Refer to the table below to review the distribution of vacancies based on categories:-

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2024 

Before candidates apply for the SSC CPO 2024 Recruitment, they should check the SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria which includes nationality, age limit and educational qualification etc. You can check the detailed eligibility criteria of SSC CPO below:-

Nationality

An applicant to apply for the SSC CPO position must belong to one of the following categories:

1. A citizen of India, or
2. A subject of Nepal, or
3. A subject of Bhutan.
4. Nevertheless, candidates falling under categories 2 and 3 must obtain a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
5. Candidates requiring a certificate of eligibility will be permitted to participate in the examination, but the formal appointment offer will be extended only after the Government of India issues the necessary eligibility certificate to them.

Age Limit & Relaxation

The age limit for the SSC CPO Exam 2024 is set at 20-25 years, implying that candidates must have a birthdate falling between 02.08.1999 and 01.08.2004 to meet the eligibility criteria. 

Specific special categories are entitled to relaxation in the upper age limit. The permissible age relaxation for various categories, excluding Delhi Police departmental candidates, is outlined as follows:

Educational Qualification

The essential educational requirement for all roles in the SSC CPO 2024 Exam is a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or its equivalent. Candidates who have appeared in their Bachelor's degree or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply; however, they must have obtained the essential qualification on or before the cutoff date, i.e., 1 August 2024.

2. Select the "Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF Examination, 2024" link to enter the dedicated portal.
3. Initiate the registration process by clicking 'Register Now' and provide all the required information in the SSC CPO registration form.
4. After successful registration, you will receive login credentials on your registered email address and mobile number.
5. Use the received login details to log in and click on the 'Apply online' button. Certain details entered during registration will be automatically filled in the form.
6. Complete the entire form with your details. Sign the declaration and click the 'I agree' button.
7. Thoroughly review the information on the SSC CPO application form to prevent errors and proceed to pay the SSC CPO application fee.
8. To conclude the application process, click the submit button and ensure to take a printout of the final page for future reference.

Application Fees 

Applicants must submit the application fee to complete the application process. The online fee can be paid through online payment modes, specifically BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by utilizing Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card until 29 March 2024 (2300 Hrs). SSC CPO 2024 Selection Process

Applicants are required to undergo a comprehensive 4-stage selection process. The recruitment process comprises Stage-1 Paper-I (Computer Based Examination), Stage-2 Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Stage-3 Paper-II (Computer Based Examination) and Stage-4 Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Participation in all these stages of the examination is obligatory.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern

Before you start your preparation for the SSC CPO Exam 2024, candidates should acquaint themselves with the examination pattern. Below we are detailing an overview of the examination pattern for both Paper 1 and Paper 2:

1. The exam will consist of two papers conducted in a computer-based format. 
2. Both papers will feature questions of Objective Multiple Choice Type. 
3. In Parts I, II, and III of Paper I, questions will be set in both Hindi and English. 
4. It is important to note that there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in both Paper-I and Paper-II. 
5. There will be 200 questions for 200 marks in both papers.

To check the result after the examination, SSC compiles a final merit list containing the names of successfully selected candidates. To verify your result, follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the official SSC website to check the SSC CPO Result 2024.
