SSC CPO Notification 2023 has been issued for 1876 Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination- 2023 vacancies. The SSC CPO 2023 online application process will begin on the same day i.e. 22 July 2023 and end on August 15, 2023. SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for any recruiting procedure, candidates must read the official notification and meet the minimum eligibility criteria. 

(a) Nationality:

The candidate must be a citizen of India to become eligible for the post advertised in this recruitment exam.

Apart from this, candidates belonging to the subject of Nepal and Bhutan categories can also apply under certain conditions. (A candidate belonging to these categories shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

(b) Age Limit:

The candidates must have been born between 2 January 1997 and 1 January  2002.

Minimum age: 20 years

Maximum age: 25 years

Age Relaxation:

The age limit is usually between 20 and 25 years for the unreserved category candidates. The relaxation in age is provided to the reserved categories as the per provisions made by Central Government.

(c) Educational Qualification: 

To be eligible for the SSC CPO exam, candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Male candidates must have a valid Driving Licence for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as of the date set for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests for the position of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (Only). Otherwise, they will be denied the opportunity to take the Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

Application Form:

Applicants can successfully complete and submit the SSC CPO application form online by following the instructions outlined below:

  • Visit the official SSC website at https://ssc.nic.in/.

  • To register, click on 'One Time Registration' and complete all of the information required for the SSC CPO registration form. 

  • After registering for the SSC CPO exam, you will receive login information to your registered email address and mobile number. 

  • Enter your login information and click the 'Apply online' button.

  • Some of the information entered during registration will be auto-filled in the form.

  • Fill in the blanks with your information.

  • Sign the declaration and then press the 'I agree' button.

  • Check to see if all of the information on the SSC CPO application form is correct.

  • Pay the SSC CPO application fee

  • To successfully finish the SSC CPO application procedure, click the submit button.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 

It includes Paper-I (Prelims), Paper II (Mains), the Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), and the Detailed Medical Exam (DME).  All of these steps of the examination are required. The following are the specifics of these papers/tests:

  • Objective Multiple Choice questions will be included in both papers.

  • For Paper I, questions will be set in both Hindi and English. 

  • In Papers I and II, there will be a 0.25-mark deduction for each incorrect answer. Candidates are urged to keep this in mind while they answer the questions.

Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET):

Candidates who qualify in the written examination (Paper I and Paper II) will be called for the PET/PST. The physical standards include height, chest (for male candidates), and weight measurements. The physical endurance test includes tasks like running, long jump, high jump, etc.

PST (For Male candidates only)

  • The 100-meter race in 16 seconds

  • 6.5 minutes for a 1.6 kilometers race

  • Long jump: 3.65 meters in three attempts

  • High jump: 1.2 meters in three attempts

  • Shot put (16 lbs): 4.5 meters in three attempts

PST (For Female candidates only)

  • The 100-meter race in 18 seconds.

  • 4 minutes for an 800-meter race

  • Long jump: 2.7 meters (9 feet) on three attempts.

  • High jump: 0.9 meters (3 feet) in three attempts.

Medical Examination: 

After qualifying for the PET/PST, candidates have to undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the medical standards required for the job. Candidates declared unfit for the position will be notified and they will have 15 days to appeal to the Review Medical Board. The judgment of the Re-Medical Board/Review Medical Board is final, and no appeal/representation against the Re-Medical Board/Review Medical Board’s decision will be allowed. 

Document Verification:

The final stage involves document verification, where candidates' eligibility and supporting documents are verified.

Paper-I: (Preliminary Exam)

(a) General Intelligence and Reasoning:

(b) General Knowledge and General Awareness:

Paper 2: (Main Exam)

The questions under this segment are desgined to assess the candidate's comprehension and knowledge of the English language and will be based on the following topics: 

Fill in the blanks, Vocabulary, Spelling, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Sentence Rearrangment,  Phrases and Idiomatic Use of Words, Comprehension, etc.

  • On the home screen, click the "Admit Card" button.

  • Select the region where you filed your SSC CPO application.

  • "SSC CPO 2023 Admit Card" should be selected from the drop-down menu.

  • Enter your login information, which should include your roll number, registration number, name, and birth date.

  • Examine the information on the hall pass thoroughly.

After conducting all three stages for this exam, SSC prepares a final merit list which contains the names of finally selected candidates. If you want to check your result, follow the steps given below: 

  • Step 1: Go to the SSC's official website at www.ssc.nic.in to verify the SSC CPO Result 2023.

  • Step 2: Navigate to the Result tab and look for the "Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs Examination, 2023."

The basic pay scale for SSC CPO 2023 would be Rs 35,400 and the same will be mentioned in the official notification. According to the 7th Pay Commission, the base remuneration for post convered in this recruitment exam has been increased by 20-22%, bringing the total gross compensation to Rs 47,496.
