The SSC CPO Paper 1 examination pattern has been revised for the 2026 recruitment cycle. The test now consists of 100 objective questions carrying 100 marks, with a total duration of 60 minutes.

Each of the four sections has a separate time limit of 15 minutes. Candidates should familiarise themselves with this format before attempting full-length mock tests.

A deduction of 0.25 marks will apply for every incorrect answer in Paper 1. Candidates should therefore balance speed with accuracy while attempting the questions.

SSC CPO Exam Preparation 2026

With the revised SSC CPO Paper 1 dates approaching, candidates should concentrate on revising important concepts and practising questions within the new sectional time limits. The updated examination pattern makes time management particularly important, as each section must be completed within 15 minutes.

• For Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning, practise short, timed sets to improve calculation speed and problem-solving accuracy.
• Revise grammar, vocabulary and comprehension questions for English, while regularly reviewing static GK and recent current affairs for General Awareness.

Candidates can strengthen their preparation with Utkarsh Classes' study resources, including SSC CPO Online Courses and SSC CPO Online Test Series. Analysing mistakes after each mock test can help identify weaker areas and improve performance before the examination.
