The Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, was on an official tour of Armenia and Malaysia from 9-15 September 2024. This was his first official visit to the Eurasian country of Armenia and the Southeast Asian Nation of Malaysia.
Kirti Vardhan Singh visited Armenia from 9 to 11 September 2024. During his visit, he attended the inaugural session of the first Yerevan Dialogue, which was held in the Armenian capital.
The Yerevan Dialogue is a 1.5-day dialogue organised by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Indian think tank Observer Research Foundation (ORF).
Track 1.5 dialogues are diplomatic conversations that include both government officials and non-government officials. However, government officials participate in the dialogue in an unofficial capacity. The dialogue is not considered government-to-government talks.
During his visit to Armenia, Kirti Vardhan Singh met Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan and discussed bilateral issues.
Kirit Vardhan Singh also planted a sapling in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Buenos Aires Park in Yerevan, as per the Ek Ped Maa ke Naam campaign.

In the second leg of his two-nation tour, Kirti Vardhan Singh visited Malaysia. During his four-day visit to Malaysia from 12-15 September, he inaugurated the second edition of the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Day 'Pravasi Diwas’ Celebrations and the 15th Global Organization of People of Indian Origin International Convention.
These two agreements were signed during Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibharim's visit to India in August 2024.
In Malaysia, Kirti Vardhan Singh held a bilateral meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Datuk Mohamad bin Alamin.
