Legendary Indian cricketer and Bharat Ratna awardee Sachin Tendulkar was honoured with the 2023-24 Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) in a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai on 1st February 2025.
The cricket governing body in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), honoured the exceptional performance of Indian cricketers for the 2023-24 season at the BCCI Naman Awards 2025.
Sarfraz Ahmed was honoured with the Best International Debut Trophy for a male player.
The Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award was instituted by the BCCI in honour of the legendary Indian cricketer Col. C.K. Nayudu. The first cricketer to receive the award was Lala Amarnath in 1994.
Sachin Tendulkar was honoured with the 2023-24 award.
During his illustrious career, Tendulkar played 200 Tests, 463 one-day internationals (ODIs), and one T20 Internationals for India. He scored 34,357 runs in international matches across all the three formats. Sachin was part of India’s 2011 ODI World Cup-winning team. He was conferred India’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 2014.
Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was honoured with the 2023-24 Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer for his outstanding performance in 2024. He took 71 wickets from 13 Tests in 2024. This was the third Polly Umrigar award for Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah has also been honoured with the 2024 Sir Garfield Sobers Award for the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year Award and the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year Award.
Indian Test vice-captain Smriti Mandhana for the fourth time. She has also been honoured with the ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year 2024.
Mumbai Cricket Association. The Mumbai team won the Ranji Trophy for a record 42nd time, the Senior Women's T20 Trophy, the Vijay Merchant Trophy, and the Women's U19 One Day Trophy in the 2023-24 season.
Ravichandran Ashwin, who recently retired from international cricket was honoured by the BCCI with a special award.
Ashwin who made his international debut in 2010, was the most successful Indian bowler in Test cricket after Anil Kumble.
Off-spinner Ashwin took 537 test wickets second to Anil Kumble's 607 wickets.
