People's Plan Campaign 2026-27: Special Gram Sabhas Launch "Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas" on 2 October

Special Gram Sabhas will be held across India on 2 October 2026 to launch the People's Plan Campaign (PPC) 2026-27, themed "Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas". Under it, Gram Panchayats will start preparing their development plans for 2027-28 with the help of villagers.

What Is the People's Plan Campaign 2026-27?

The People's Plan Campaign is a national exercise run by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj for planning at the village level. It has been running since 2018. Every year it begins on 2 October with special Gram Sabha meetings. A Gram Sabha is a village assembly where citizens and elected representatives discuss local needs and priorities. More than 2.55 lakh Gram Panchayats already prepare and upload their plans on the eGramSwaraj portal.

What Is the Theme of People's Plan Campaign 2026-27?

The theme is "Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas", which means a plan made by everyone and development for everyone. It stresses that villagers themselves should help decide what their village needs.
