The Indian Navy is organising the second edition of its Commanders' Conference for 2026 in New Delhi. It will run for three days, from 29 September to 1 October 2026, at Nausena Bhawan.

What is the second edition of Commanders' Conference 2026?

Senior naval leaders, including Operational and Area Commanders from outside Delhi, come together to check how ready the Navy is at the military-strategic level. The event also lets them interact with senior government officials through a fixed, regular system.

What Happens on Each Day 2nd edition of Commanders' Conference 2026

• Day 1: The Raksha Mantri will share his views on India's maritime priorities and what the government expects from the Navy. The Chief of the Defence Staff and the Chief of the Army Staff will also meet the Naval Commanders to strengthen coordination among the three Services.

The conference will highlight the Navy's role in protecting India's maritime interests, especially energy security, at a time when conflicts continue in West Asia. The Navy is currently running Operation Urja Suraksha. Its work has made it a trusted security partner in the Indian Ocean Region and beyond.
