The Hardik Singh-led Hockey Punjab team won the 15th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship Trophy 2025 by comprehensively defeating Hockey Madhya Pradesh 4-1 in the final. The final match of Division A of the 15th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship was played at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium at Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh, on 15th April 2025.
Uttar Pradesh Hockey won the bronze medal, defeating Manipur Hockey 5-1.
Since the start of the Senior Men's National Championship in 2011 under Hockey India, Punjab has won the title for the record 5th time.
Earlier they won the championship in 2012,2018,2021,2023.
In the final, Jugraj singh scored two goals while Jaskaran Singh and Maninder Singh scored one each, helping their team defeat Hockey Madhya Pradesh 4-1.
Pratap Lakra scored the only goal for Madhya Pradesh.
In the semi-final match, Hockey Madhya Pradesh defeated Hockey Manipur 5-3 while
Hockey Punjab defeated Uttar Pradesh Hockey 4-3 in a closely contested match.
The sports governing body, Hockey India, organised the 15th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2025. The Championship was held at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh, from 4-15 April 2025.
The teams were divided into three Divisions: A,B, and C.
The top 12 teams played in Division A, 10 in Division B, and 8 in Division C.
The last two teams of Division A and B were relegated to a lower Division, while the top two teams of Division B and C were promoted to Division A and Division B, respectively.
All Division A, B, and C matches were played at Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh.
The newly formed Hockey India organised the first Senior Men and Women National Championship in 2011.
