BRICS Youth Ministers' Meeting to Be Held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh

India is set to host the BRICS Youth Ministers' Meeting and the BRICS Sports Ministers' Meeting in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on August 22 and 23, 2026, respectively, as part of India's ongoing BRICS Chairship. These meetings will bring together ministers and delegation heads from all 11 BRICS member countries to strengthen cooperation on youth affairs and sports.

Dr Mansukh Mandaviya to Chair the Meet Involving Youth and Sports Ministers From 11 BRICS Member Nations

Both the Youth and Sports Ministers' Meetings will be chaired by Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, with Minister of State Raksha Khadse also participating. Senior officials, including Youth Affairs Secretary Sunil Paliwal and Sports Secretary Hari Ranjan Rao, will support the proceedings, bringing together representatives from all 11 BRICS member countries under one platform. As per the official schedule, Dr Mandaviya will deliver a country statement during the Youth Ministers' Meeting, while Smt Khadse will give the closing remarks.

BRICS Sports Ministers' Meet to Focus on Sports Technology Cooperation and Sports Manufacturing Conclave

The Sports Ministers' Meeting on August 23 will focus on strengthening cooperation in areas like traditional and indigenous sports, sports technology, and sports manufacturing. Representatives from Brazil, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and the UAE will deliver individual statements before the session concludes with the adoption of the BRICS Sports Joint Declaration.
