Hockey Jharkhand defeated the defending champion Hockey Haryana in the final to win the 15th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2025. The final match was played at the Tau Devi Lal Complex in Panchkula, Haryana, on 12 March 2025.
Hockey Mizoram defeated Hockey Maharashtra to take the third spot with Hockey Maharashtra at the fourth position.
Defending champion Hockey Haryana entered the final by defeating Hockey Maharashtra in the semifinal, while Jharkhand entered the final by defeating Mizoram.
It was the second final for Hockey Jahkhand, having lost to Indian Railways in 2015.
It was the ninth finals for the Hockey Haryana team, having won three finals earlier.
In the final at Panchkula, Hockey Haryana, Captain Rani scored the first goal of the match in the 42nd minute, which was equalised by Jhakhand’s Pramodni Lakra in the 44th minute of the match.
The match ended 1-1 at the end of the stipulated time. To decide the winner, a penalty shootout was held.
In the penalty shoot out Hockey Jharkhand defeated Hockey Haryana 4-3.
For Jharkhand, Rajni Kerketta, Nirali Kujur, Binima Dhan, and Captain Alebla Rani Toppo scored goals, while Pinki, Annu, and Manisha scored for Hockey Haryana.
It was the first title for Hockey Jharkhand.
Hockey India organised the 15th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2025 at Tau Devi Lal Complex in Panchkula, Haryana, from 1-12 March 2025.
In the new format, the Division A matches were played in a knock-out format. Twelve teams participated in the Division A of the 15th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship.
The teams were divided into four groups, with the top team from each group qualified for the quarter finals.
The winners of the quarter-finals played in the semi-finals, and the winner of the semi-finals played in the finals.

Group A: Hockey Haryana, Jockey Karnataka, and Hockey Association of Odisha.
Group B: Manipur Hockey, Hockey Punjab, and Hockey Maharashtra.
Group C: Hockey Jharkhand, Hockey Mizoram, and Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu
Group D: Hockey Bengal, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh Hockey
The first Hockey India Senior Women National Championship was organised by Hockey India in 2011. The Indian Railway team won the inaugural championship.
The Indian Railway team is the most successful team in the history of the Hockey India Senior Women National Championship. They have won it eight times.
Hockey Haryana has won it 3 times, Hockey Madhya Pradesh twice, and Jharkhand and Odisha won it once each.
The 14th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2024 was won by Hockey Haryana.
Hockey India was established in 2009 as the governing body for the sport of hockey in India.
It replaced the Indian Hockey Federation.
