Vice-President Inaugurates KAUMARACON-2026 and Launches Digital Initiatives At AIIA

Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated KAUMARACON-2026, the third international conference on Kaumarabhritya (Ayurveda paediatrics), at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi. The conference runs from October 15 to 17, 2026, and is organised by the Department of Kaumarabhritya at AIIA. A pre-conference workshop was held on October 14. He also launched several digital initiatives and urged more scientific research into Ayurveda to build patient confidence and global acceptance.

Theme of KAUMARACON-2026

Its theme is “Shaping the Future of Child Health: Global Perspectives, Research Innovations, and Clinical Frontiers in Kaumarabhritya.”

The Vice-President said children need special attention to nutrition, growth, development, disease prevention, and emotional well-being. He added that a Viksit Bharat by 2047 depends on healthy children and strong human capital.

Key Launches on KAUMARACON-2026

Several digital tools were introduced during the event:

• AYUSH Start-up Portal
• AIIA–iCAINE website
• Ayurveda Digital Innovation and Venture Acceleration Facility (AyuDIVA)
• Vamana App
• Panchakarma Assessment App

An international Memorandum of Understanding between Maharishi International University (USA) and AIIA was also exchanged in his presence.

Special Labs Highlighted at KAUMARACON-2026

Two AIIA labs were showcased at the conference:

• KINDER Lab: works on diagnosing breathing problems and electrophysiology in children.
• AyuR-Informatics Lab: uses AI, machine learning and atomic modelling to study neurodevelopmental conditions in children, such as autism and ADHD.

Participants in KAUMARACON-2026

More than 500 delegates are attending, and over 175 research papers will be presented. Experts from Brazil, the United States, Germany, Sri Lanka and Nepal are joining online. Among those present were Prataprao Jadhav (MoS, AYUSH), Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha (Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH), Dr. Maneesha Upendra (Chairperson, NCISM) and Prof. P. K. Prajapati (Director, AIIA).

The event ends on October 17 with the 10th Foundation Day celebrations of AIIA. The Vice-President also noted that the Ministry of AYUSH was created in 2014 and that the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine is located in Jamnagar.
