SSC CHSL Notification 2025 was issued by the Staff Selection Commission on 23 June 2025. SSC Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2025 Date has been announced by the SSC through the SSC CHSL Notification 2025. SSC CHSL Application Window 2025 has been opened by the SSC from 23 June to 18 July 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the SSC. Candidates are advised to submit their online SSC CHSL Application 2025 well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical difficulties. 

A total of 3131 vacancies have been announced by the SSC for the recruitment to the Group C posts viz. Junior Secretariat Assistant/ Lower Divisional Clerk and Data Entry Operators for various Departments/ Ministries, Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc. To get selected for the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025, candidates need to clear a two-stage recruitment process, which consists of two Computer-Based Examinations, i.e., Tier 1 and Tier 2.

SSC CHSL Vacancy 2025 has been announced by the SSC through the SSC CHSL Notification 2025. A total of 3131 vacancies have been announced this year. The Commission has clearly said that these is the tentative vacancies and soon the commission will confirm the final SSC CHSL Vacancy 2025. SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2025 

To be eligible for the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025, candidates must satisfy certain criteria established by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). These criteria encompass aspects such as nationality, age limitations, age relaxations, and educational qualification. Fulfillment of these criteria is mandatory for all applicants to qualify for the examinations. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Nationality

Candidates must meet the following citizenship criteria to be eligible:

(a) Must be a citizen of India,

(b) Can be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,

(c) An individual of Indian origin who has relocated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zaire, or Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

Note: Candidates belonging to categories (b) and (c) above are required to possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit

SSC CHSL Age Limit 2025 has been detailed through the SSC CHSL Notification 2025. The age limit for the posts is 18 to 27 years as on 01.01.2026. This means candidates born not earlier than 02.01.1999 and not later than 01.01.2008 are eligible to apply. 

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: Candidates belonging to the reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation as per the provision made by the central government. The relaxation in age is to be provided  for various categories as per the following provisions:

Educational Qualification

SSC CHSL Application Process

Each year, lot of candidate appear in this recruitment exam. If you want to participate in this exam, you will need to submit an application form first. Then you have to pay the application fee as decided by the commission. The application form consists of two stages as mentioned below: 

  • Part-I: One-Time Registration
  • Part-II: Filling of Online Application for Examination

Part-I: One-Time Registration (OTR) Process

  • Visit the official website of the SSC.
  • Click on the ‘Register Now’ link provided in the ‘Login’ Section.
  • Enter your basic details such as your Aadhaar Number, name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth etc. Educational details and contact details carefully.
  • You will receive the registration number and password on your registered e-mail ID and phone number.
  • Now, proceed to complete your application form.

Part-II: Application Form

  • To apply for SSC CHSL, login to the ssc portal using your Registration ID and Password.
  • Enter your personal information, educational qualifications, and other required information.
  • Upload a scanned copy of your photo and signature in the format specified in the notification.
  • Check all the information you've entered carefully before submitting the application form.
  • Pay the application fees offline via SBI challan or through a payment gateway online.
  • Download the application's final submission and print it for future reference.

Application Fees

Candidates are required to fulfill the application process by submitting the necessary application fee based on their respective categories. The fee can be conveniently paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards. SSC CHSL 2025 Selection Process

According to the Staff Selection Commission's notification, the selection process for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam consists of Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations and Document Verification.  

Tier-I: The Tier 1 examination consists of multiple-choice questions covering subjects – English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. To be qualified for Tier 2, candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks in each section.

Tier-II: The Tier 2 test is a descriptive paper that requires applicants to write essays, letters, applications, and précis. The qualifying mark for this paper is 33%. Tier 2 exams also comprise a skill test for candidates applying for the position of Data Entry Operator and a typing test for individuals applying for the position of Lower Division Clerk. This is in accordance with the revised exam format issued for the CHSL 2022 cycle. Candidates must pass this exam in order to be selected for the post.

Note: Candidates will advance in the recruiting process if they pass all phases of the examination. Candidates must take the written exam first in Tier 1 and Tier 2, followed by a skill/typing test in Tier 2. The skill test/typing test is qualifying in nature. The skill test is mandatory for Data Entry Operators, and the Typing Test is mandatory for LDC/ JSA posts.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025 is broken into two phases: Tier I and Tier II. The SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is a qualifying exam, whereas the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam determines the final selection. The tables below explain the SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2025.

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 

SSC CHSL Tier 1 2025 is scheduled to take place from 8 to 18 September 2025. Candidates who are going to appear in the SSC CHSL Tier 1 can check the details SSC CHSL Exam Pattern for Tier 1 here:-

  1. The Tier-I examination will comprise 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 200 marks. 
  2. Each correct response will fetch 2 marks. 
  3. The duration of the SSC CHSL Exam will be 60 minutes. 
  4. Questions will be available in English, Hindi, and the regional language selected by the candidate in the application form. 
  5. A penalty of 0.50 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 

SSC CHSL Tier 2 will be conducted in February- March 2025. Candidates who qualify the Tier 1 will be eligible for the Tier 2. Have a look at the detailed SSC CHSL Tier 2 Pattern 2025:-

  1. Tier-II of the examination comprises four sections: Section I includes Mathematical Abilities and Reasoning & General Intelligence; Section II consists of English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness; Section III is the Computer Knowledge Test; and Section IV is the Skill Test/Typing Test. 
  2. The SSC CHSL Tier-II examination will take place in two separate sessions on a single day. Session I will cover Section I, Section II, and Section III, while Session II will be reserved for conducting Section IV. 
  3. Candidates must clear all sections of Tier-II to be considered qualified.
  4. All sections, except Section IV, will contain objective-type multiple-choice questions. 
  5. The questions will be available in English, Hindi, and the regional language chosen by the candidate in the application form. 
  6. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Section I, II, and III. 
  7. Section IV, which includes the Skill Test or Typing Test, will be qualifying in nature and conducted during Session II.

SSC CHSL 2025 Admit Card

The Staff Selection Commission will issue the SSC CHSL Admit Card 2025 individually for each level of the recruitment procedure (Tier-1 and Tier-2) a week before the exam date. Candidates can download their admit cards from the commission's official website by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Staff Selection Commission’s website. 
  2. On the homepage, locate and click the “SSC CHSL Admit Card” link provided under the ”Quick Links” section.
  3. You will be redirected to a login page. Enter your personal information, such as your date of birth and application number, and then click “Submit.”
  4. Your admit card will appear on a new screen.
  5. Download the SSC CHSL Admit Card and take a printout of it for future reference.

SSC CHSL Answer Key 2025

After the examination, SSC CHSL Answer Keys for Tier-I and Tier-II will be available on the Commission's website. Candidates can examine the SSC CHSL Answer Keys and lodge online representations (if necessary) within the designated time frame determined by the Commission.

 Candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- per question, which is non-refundable, to submit their objections. 

Representations received through alternative means, such as letters, applications, emails, etc., will not be taken into consideration. The Commission will review any representations regarding the Answer Keys before finalizing them, and its decision will be considered final. SSC CHSL Exam 2025 Result will be declared by the Staff Selection Commission after the exam is conducted. Candidates will be able to download the result by visiting the official website of the Commission and following the below-mentioned steps:-

Step 2: On the homepage, locate the "Result" option in the Quick Links section.
