A well-managed two-month preparation plan should have three things: covering the syllabus, solving practice papers, and regular revision.
The first month, focus on understanding the exam pattern and clearing basic concepts. Revise basic formulas and topics in Maths, cover important topics of Rajasthan GK and Current Affairs, and start solving previous year questions (PYQs) daily to understand the exam pattern and type of questions asked from each subject. This is also the best time to prepare short notes and formula sheets for quick revision later.
The second month should be focused mainly on revision and practice. Revise your short notes, formulae, and important GK and Current Affairs topics daily so you can remember them well. Give more time to the weaker areas of the syllabus. Also, attempt regular mock tests, which will help with time management and boost confidence for the exam.
For regular updates, students can read Daily Current Affairs News and download Current Affairs PDFs from Utkarsh Classes.
A proper timetable helps cover the syllabus in an organized way and allows enough time for revision before the Rajasthan VDO exam. Here’s a suggested week-wise plan for two months:

Rajasthan VDO Exam Preparation requires giving proper attention to all subjects, as each subject can help you improve your total score. Here are some subject-wise tips to help you cover the syllabus systematically and revise effectively:
Focus on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence correction in both languages. Regular practice of reading comprehension passages will improve speed and accuracy, while revising important grammar rules will strengthen your base. For Hindi, pay special attention to संधि, समास, अलंकार, and शब्द शुद्धि topics. Solving previous year questions and quizzes daily will help you gain confidence in both languages.
The maths section needs strong conceptual understanding and regular practice. Areas which need regular practice are from arithmetic, such as percentages, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, time and work, averages, and ratios. Prepare a formula sheet for quick revision, and spend at least 30 minutes daily solving numerical problems to improve calculation speed and accuracy.
This section is vast and requires consistent reading. Cover static GK like history and science basics, along with current affairs from the last six months. Reading daily current affairs updates, practicing quizzes, and revising notes will ensure you retain important information.
Focus on both physical and Indian geography, with special focus on Rajasthan’s geographical features. Study rivers, soil types, climate, vegetation, and mineral resources. Practice map-based questions to strengthen visual memory, as the exam often asks about resource distribution.
This subject is Rajasthan-specific and plays an important role in the exam. Prepare short notes on agricultural practices, major crops, irrigation methods, and government schemes related to farming. In economics, focus on Rajasthan’s economic resources, such as industries, handicrafts, and state-level development programs. Revising short one-liners and solving previous year papers will make this section easier to prepare within two months.
Give special attention to dynasties, rulers, battles, and freedom movements linked with Rajasthan. Along with history, focus on cultural heritage, such as Rajasthan’s folk dances, fairs, festivals, and architectural monuments. Regularly revise timelines and practice MCQs to avoid confusion between similar events.
This section covers basic fundamentals of computers, such as hardware, software, MS Office, internet, and networking. Focus on practical aspects like shortcuts in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, email and basic cybersecurity concepts. Since computer questions are usually direct, revising from Utkarsh’s online study resources and practicing with daily quizzes can help secure marks in this subject.
Effective preparation depends not only on covering the syllabus but also on following a smart strategy. Regular mock tests are important to improve speed, accuracy, and time management. Maintaining a consistent revision schedule, including short notes and formula sheets, will help you keep important concepts fresh in your mind. Students should identify their weak areas using PYQs and give extra practice to these topics.
Planning an exam-day approach, such as which sections to attempt first and how to handle tricky questions, can also make a big difference in your final score. Along with this, managing stress and keeping a positive mindset are equally important for the best results
