RPSC Junior Legal Officer Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for RPSC JLO recruitment, candidates must fulfil certain eligibility criteria set by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. The eligibility criteria generally include age limit and educational qualification standards. Candidates must review the official notification carefully. We are providing the eligibility criteria in this post below-

(a) Educational Qualification 

Candidates wishing to apply for junior legal officer recruitment should fulfil the educational qualification criteria set by the board. The educational qualification for the junior legal officer vacancy is as follows: 

  • Candidates must be law graduates from a recognised university or equivalent of a three-year course of proficiency degree.
  • Candidates should possess working knowledge of Hindi language in Devanagari Script and have good knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

(b) Age limit 

The RPSC has set certain age limit criteria for junior legal officer aspirants. Every candidate must fulfil this criterion to appear in the written exam. RPSC JLO age limit is as follows: 

  • Candidates' age must be between 21 years to 40 years. 

Note: The reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per their categories and provisions made by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission. Age relaxation to be provided to the reserved category candidates is mentioned in the following line:

RPSC Junior Legal Officer Recruitment 2023: Application Process 

Aspirants can fill out the application for the junior legal officer vacancies in online mode. Candidates can fill out forms through other sources also, like E-Mitra for Jan Suvidha Kendra. To apply for the Junior Legal Officer posts, candidates should follow the following steps: 

  • Log in to the Rajasthan SSO portal here https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in
  • Go to the recruitment section and search for Junior Legal Officer recruitment. 
  • Click on the link and fill in all essential details asked in the application form. 
  • Now, upload scanned copies of all required documents in the prescribed format. 
  • Pay the application fees as applicable to the category.
  • Submit the filled application form and download/save it for future reference.

RPSC Junior Legal Officer Recruitment 2023: Selection Process 

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission will recruit candidates for 140 vacant posts of junior legal officers. Aspirants have to qualify in all the stages of the selection process to become Junior Law Officers in the law and legal affairs department of Rajasthan. The selection process is as follows: 

Written examination: Candidates who satisfy all the eligibility criteria like educational and age limit will go under written examination. In written examination, the legal and social knowledge of candidates are to be measured. 

Interview: Candidates who successfully qualify the written examination will be called to appear in the physical interview. The interview stage consists of 25 marks. The marks scored in this stage will be considered for preparing the merit list. 

Document verification: After qualifying the two stages, i.e. written exam and interview, candidates will be called for document verification. Candidates must provide their official ID proofs and other identity and address proofs asked by the board. 

RPSC Junior Legal Officer Recruitment 2023: Exam Pattern 

The written examination of JLO, is conducted to evaluate candidates' knowledge and their command over legal subjects. It consists of objective-type questions covering various subjects such as general languages, directive principles, functioning of the high court and supreme court, evidence act, limitation Act, etc. The difficulty level of the questions will be that of a bachelor's degree.

Note: The written exam will be conducted in four parts, in which 3 papers consist of law-related subjects and one paper will consist of language-based exams.  

The exam duration for each exam section is 3 hours and candidates must secure 40% to qualify the written examination. 

RPSC Junior Legal Officer Recruitment 2023: Syllabus 

The syllabus for the RPSC JLO  exam covers various subjects, including English and Hindi language and legal subjects. 

Candidates should thoroughly study each subject and focus on legal topics because three papers will consist of legal subjects.

RPSC Junior Legal Officer Recruitment 2023: Salary 

The Junior legal officers will be paid as per the 7th pay commission, and the pay matrix level of JLO is 10. Apart from this, JLO gets various allowances such as DA, HRA, SA and medical allowances, etc. Exact in-hand salary figures may vary. RPSC Junior Legal Officer Recruitment 2023: Admit Card 2023

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will release the RPSC JLO admit card on the official website. The exact release date will be notified through a notice to be uploaded on the official website in this regard. It is quite important for you to stay updated with the official notices and regularly check the website for any updates regarding the admit card release.

Step I: Visit the official website of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission using the link rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in.  

Step II: On the main page, click the “Latest News” section.

Step III: Now click the link flashing as “Admit Card Link for Junior Legal Officer (JLO) Written Examination”.

Step IV: A new page appears where you need to enter your registration number, password and date of birth.

Step-V: On clicking the “Submit” button, your Rajasthan JLO Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.

Step-VI: Download your RPSC JLO Admit Card and take a printout of the Hall Ticket.
