The RPSC RAS Selection process comprises two main phases: the Combined Competitive Examination and the Personality and Viva-Voce Examination. The Combined Competitive Examination, in turn, consists of the following stages:
(A) Combined Competitive Examination:
The Combined Competitive Examination includes two stages known as prelims and mains.
Stage I - Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
The preliminary exam consists of one objective-type paper. This paper can be conducted either in offline or online mode.
Stage II - Mains Examination (Mains)
The main examination involves answering descriptive questions. Candidates, in a number equal to 15 times the total vacancies available, will be selected to appear in the main examination.
(B) Personality Test & Viva-Voce
Candidates who meet the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in the written Main Examination will be invited for a personality and viva voce examination, which carries a weightage of 100 marks.
