RPSC RAS Eligibility Criteria 2026

The RPSC RAS Eligibility Criteria outlined in the RPSC RAS Notification include the candidate's age, qualifications, nationality, and other relevant requirements. Candidates not meeting these required criteria would not be eligible to participate in further stages of the recruitment process. The RAS Eligibility Criteria are detailed below:

(a) Nationality

To apply for the RPSC RAS Recruitment 2026, the candidate must be a citizen of India or a domicile of Rajasthan.

(b) Age Limit 

To be eligible to apply for this post, a candidate must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of 1 January 2027. 

Relaxation Age: Relaxation in age is permitted to some candidates in the reserved categories. 

Candidates interested in applying for the RPSC RAS Recruitment 2026 must be aware of the fact that the relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to candidates belonging to the following categories:

(c) Educational Qualification:

The candidate must have a graduate degree (any stream) from:

• A university that has been established by an Act of the Central Legislature. These are universities that have been created and recognised by the central government of the country. Or 
• Candidates are also eligible if they have a degree from an educational institution that has been established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be one under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.  Or
• In some cases, candidates with qualifications from institutions that may not fall under the first two categories can still be considered if their qualifications are deemed equivalent and have been approved by the government in consultation with the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).

Note: Candidates in the final year of their degree programmes are also eligible to apply for the RPSC RAS Prelims Exam 2024, but they must submit proof of graduation before proceeding to the Mains stage.

The RPSC RAS Application Form 2026 will be available online on the official SSO Rajasthan Portal from 4 June 2026 to 3 July 2026. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can complete the registration process within the given timeline. Step 1: Visit the official SSO Rajasthan Portal or the RPSC website.

Step 2: Register using your Jan Aadhaar, mobile number, or email ID to generate your SSO ID. Candidates who already have an SSO ID can directly log in using their existing credentials.

Step 3: After logging in, click on the application link for the “RPSC RAS Recruitment 2026”.

Step 4: Fill in all the required personal details such as candidate name, date of birth, category, contact details, and address carefully.

Application Fee 

Application forms for the RPSC RAS Recruitment 2026 will not be accepted without submitting the application fee. Important Documents Required for RPSC RAS 2026

While applying for the RPSC RAS Recruitment 2026 through the Rajasthan SSO portal, you will need to complete your One-Time Registration (OTR), enter your certificate details, and upload your scanned images. 

Keep the following documents and details handy before starting your online registration process:

• Educational Details: Keep your marksheets for Class 10th, 12th, and your Graduation Degree handy. You will need to enter accurate details such as your roll numbers, passing years, total marks obtained, and the name of your board or university.
• Identity Proof Details: A valid government-issued photo identity proof, such as a Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License, is required to fetch and verify your OTR (One-Time Registration) details.
• Scanned Photograph (Mandatory): A recent passport-size colored photograph scanned in JPG/JPEG format. The file size must be between 50 KB and 100 KB. The photo must have a clear, light-colored background and should be taken within the last 6 months.
• Scanned Signature (Mandatory): Your clear signature on plain white paper using blue or black ink, scanned in JPG/JPEG format. The file size must be strictly between 20 KB and 50 KB.
• Category & Domicile Proof: Your valid Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/MBC) and Rajasthan Domicile certificate to claim upper age relaxation and reservation benefits under the state government rules.

Documents Required for RPSC RAS Detailed Application Form (DAF) & Interview

In the RPSC RAS exam, documents are verified on the same day as your Personality Test (Interview). After clearing the Mains written exam, you will fill out a Detailed Application Form (DAF) and present the following original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies to the commission:

1. Age & School Proof: Class 10th and 12th Marksheets and Passing Certificates (Class 10th certificate serves as official age proof).
2. Graduation Proof: Graduation Degree certificate and semester-wise or consolidated graduation Marksheets.
3. RPSC RAS DAF Form: A printed copy of your submitted Detailed Application Form (Scrutiny Form) and the application fee receipt.
4. Identity Verification: A valid Photo ID Proof issued by the government (Voter ID, PAN Card, etc.).
5. Domicile Proof: Valid Rajasthan Domicile Certificate to claim state-specific benefits and reservations.
6. Category Verification: Caste/Category Certificate (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, MBC) issued by a competent authority.
7. Special Categories: Ex-Servicemen Certificate, Sports Certificate, or a No Objection Certificate (NOC) if you are currently employed in a government position.
8. Passport Photos: Recent passport-size colored photographs matching the one uploaded in your online application form.

Note: Candidates must ensure that all details entered during the online application exactly match their official original documents. Any spelling mistakes, incorrect info, or failure to produce valid certificates during the verification process on your interview day will lead to the immediate cancellation of your candidature.

RPSC RAS 2026 Selection Process

The RPSC RAS Selection process comprises two main phases: the Combined Competitive Examination and the Personality and Viva-Voce Examination. RPSC RAS Recruitment Process consists of the following stages:

(A) Combined Competitive Examination:

The Combined Competitive Examination includes two stages known as prelims and mains. 

Stage I - Preliminary Examination (Prelims)

The preliminary exam consists of one objective-type paper. This paper can be conducted either in offline or online mode.

Stage II - Mains Examination (Mains)

The main examination involves answering descriptive questions. Candidates, in a number equal to 15 times the total vacancies available, will be selected to appear in the main examination.

(B) Personality Test & Viva-Voce

Candidates who meet the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in the written Main Examination will be invited for a personality and viva voce examination, which carries a weightage of 100 marks.

RPSC RAS Exam Pattern

This section provides a comprehensive overview of the RPSC RAS Exam pattern for both the preliminary and main exams. Stage I: Prelim Exam Pattern

• The RAS Prelims Exam will be of a qualifying nature and consist of 1 paper only.
• Paper will be of Objective Type and carry 200 marks
• The standard questions of this paper will be that of bachelor's degree.
• Qualified candidates will be called for the mains.

Stage II: Main Exam Pattern

• The Written exam will consist of 4 papers and each will be worth 200 marks.
• Candidates must finish each paper within a 3-hour time limit.
• To be qualified for the personality and viva voce examinations, candidates must obtain at least 10% in each paper and 15% in aggregate out of the total marks for all papers.

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) will release the RPSC RAS Answer Key 2026 after the successful completion of the examination process.
