Shannon Gabriel of the West Indies and Dawid Malan of England have announced their retirement from International cricket. However both the players will play domestic cricket and the T20 franchise league around the world.
Tall West Indian fast bowler Shannon Gabriel started his international career in 2012 for West Indies and featured in 59 Tests, 25 One Day Internationals(ODIs) and two T20 internationals. He took a total of 202 wickets in these international appearances.
Gabriel was more successful in test matches and became a regular member of the West Indies team in 2017.
He was banned for four ODIs in 2019 after he made a homophobic remark against English player Joe Root.
He last played for West Indies in a test match against India in July 2023.

37-year-old England batsmen Dawid Malan has announced retirement from international cricket. Malan is one of the two English batsmen (the other is Jos Butler) to score centuries in all three formats -Test, ODIs and T20I of international cricket.
Dawid Malan played 22 Tests, 30 ODIs and 62 T20s for England in his international career.
Dawid Malan last played for England during the 2023 ODI World Cup in England. He announced his retirement after he was not selected for the English team for the upcoming Australia ODI series.
Dawid Malan was more popular and effective in the T20I. He was part of the 2019 T20 World Cup-winning English team.
Dawid Malan was ranked No.1 batsman in the ICC’s T-20 ranking in September 2020. In March 2023, he became the fastest player to reach 1000 runs in the T-20 format. He took just 24 matches to reach 1000 international runs in the T-20 format.
He played only one match for the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
