Rahul Dravid Becomes Owner of ETPL Dublin Franchise

India’s legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid has become the owner of the Dublin franchise in the European T-20 Premier League (ETPL). ETPL will be launched this year and it is Europe’s first ICC-approved multi-country franchise T-20 competition.

The event was attended by ETPL co-founders Abhishek Bachchan, Sourav Banerjee, Priyanka Kaul and Dhiraj Malhotra, along with franchise stakeholders.

Several international stars are expected to participate in this competition, including players such as Mitchell Marsh, Tim David, Mitchell Santner, Liam Livingstone, Glenn Maxwell, Faf du Plessis and Heinrich Klaasen.

This is another step towards the creation of Europe’s first ICC-recognised multi-country franchise T-20 competition.

The European T-20 Premier League (ETPL) is an upcoming ICC-recognised professional cricket league, which will begin in the late summer of 2026 (26 August–20 September).

The European T-20 Premier League (ETPL) is a new franchise-based cricket competition designed to accelerate the growth of cricket in Europe.

The European T-20 Premier League is being launched in collaboration with Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association.

Teams based on the cities of Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rotterdam and Amsterdam will participate in this tournament, making it one of Europe’s first cross-border franchise cricket leagues.
