Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s over three-hour-long interview with the American podcaster and artificial intelligence (AI) researcher Lex Fridman was broadcast on 16th March 2025.
The podcast was recorded in February this year in India. The podcast covered topics like PM Modi’s childhood, his experience in the Himalayas, and his political journey.
It also focussed on the government of India’s initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and the country’s advancements in AI.
Prime Minister Modi during the podcast spoke on a wide variety of topics including democracy in India, poverty, leadership, diplomacy, Pakistan, US President Donald Trump, China, and the 2002 Gujarat riots.
During the podcast, Lex Fridman asked questions in English while Prime Minister Modi answered in Hindi. The translation for both was done by an interpreter.
The podcast with Lex Fridman was the second podcast of Prime Minister Modi. In January 2025 he appeared in a podcast with entrepreneur and Zerodha founder Nikhil Kamath.

He is a computer scientist with expertise in artificial intelligence (AI).
He worked with Google as a Machine Learning researcher and later joined the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He started his podcast in 2018 with a focus on AI.
Soon his podcast became popular and he hosted businessman Elon Musk (four times), American President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and several renowned academicians and researchers in the field of science and technology.
