The Indian Army will host a two-day (26 and 27 September 2023) 13th edition of the Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs' Conclave (IPACC) in New Delhi. The Indian Army will also co-hosts the 47th Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS) and the Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF) along with the 13th IPACC.
The Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs' Conclave (IPACC) was started in 1999 by the United States of America Army to discuss issues of mutual interest among the Army Chiefs of the countries sharing mutual interest.
The IPACC is a biennial event organised by the United States of America Army with a co-host country. This year, the Indian Army is the co-host of the IPACC.
The theme of the Conclave is' Together for Peace: Sustaining Peace and Stability in the Indo-Pacific Region'.
Fifteen Army chiefs and delegations from 22 countries will attend the event.
The Conclave aims to evolve a common strategy to ensure peace, prosperity and stability in the Asia-Pacific region against the increasing Chinese threat.
The Conclave will also discuss the role of military diplomacy in crisis situations to enhance collaboration among the region's armed forces and interoperability.
The Indo-Pacific Armies Management Seminar (IPAMS) is held annually by the US Army Pacific along with a co-host country. It is also one of the largest conferences of the Armies of the region.
