India Team Beat Indonesia in the Compound Mixed Team

The Indian pair entered the final as the top seeds and played like it. They faced Indonesia’s Teodora Audi Ayudia Ferelly and Ken Swagumilang, winning 151-148.

How the Final Went

• First end: India started with a close 38-37 lead.
• Second end: The pair stretched the gap to four points, making it 77-73.
• Third end: Indonesia won this round by a single point, but India still held a three-point lead.
• Final end: Both teams scored 38, so the lead stayed the same and India took the gold.

India was ahead for most of the match, and the early lead gave the team enough cushion to win.

Sheetal and Toman Break the World Record

The gold medal came after another big achievement in the qualification round. Sheetal and Toman scored 1,402 points, which set a new world record. They beat the previous best mark by two points.

How Sheetal Devi Shoots?

Sheetal was born without arms, and her technique is one of the most remarkable in Para sport. She uses her feet and legs to position the compound bow. She then draws the bowstring back with her shoulder and jaw and releases it the same way.
