Ipsos, a global market research company, has released its Quality of Care Perception Index 2026. The index ranks 32 countries by how their citizens view the healthcare they receive. India secured the third position, behind Malaysia and Singapore.
The Ipsos Quality of Care Perception Index is a ranking built on public opinion. It shows how people in different countries feel about their own healthcare systems. Ipsos pointed out that many countries are dealing with long waiting times, shortage of healthcare workers and falling public confidence. In this situation, India stood out because its citizens showed strong trust, a sense of easy access and hopeful views about healthcare.
The index looks at how citizens judge the quality of care, how much they trust it, how accessible it is and how optimistic they feel about it.
Ipsos said affordability remains India’s biggest healthcare concern, even though perception of quality is strong.
Here is the complete list of the top 10 countries with the best healthcare quality
1 - Malaysia
2 - Singapore
3 - India
4 - Vietnam
5 - Australia
6 - Netherlands
7 - Thailand
8 - South Korea
9 - Spain
10 - South Africa
Ipsos ran the survey on its online platform in 32 countries between 13 July and 7 August 2026. It interviewed 22,528 adults in total.
The global country average is the simple average of results from all surveyed markets. It is not adjusted for the population size of each country.
