39-year-old former Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. He is the second former Indian cricketer to announce his retirement from cricket. 

Earlier, former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik announced his retirement after playing his last Indian Premier League (IPL) game for the Royal Challenger Bangalore.

Kedar Jadhav, who was part of the 2019 World Cup side, last played an ODI for India against New Zealand in Auckland on February 8, 2020.

About Kedar Jadhav 

Kedar Jadhav played for Maharatsra in domestic cricket and made his international debut against Sri Lanka in 2014 in a One Day International (ODI) played at Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Kedar Jadhav was a middle-order batsman and an off-spinner bowler. He represented India in the ODI and T20 formats of the game, but he never played a Test match.

Kedar scored 1389 runs and took 27 wickets in the 73 ODI matches he played for India. In T20 matches, he played nine matches and scored 122 runs, including one half-century.

In domestic cricket, he played for Maharashtra in 87 First-Class games and scored  6100 runs, 17 centuries, and 23 fifties.

In the IPL, he started with the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) and later played for  Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Kedar Jadhav appeared in  93 IPL matches and scored 1196 runs, which includes four half-centuries.

Dinesh Karthik retires from Cricket

Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after the end of the IPL 2024 season. Dinesh Karthik last played for India in the 2022 T20 World Cup, and his last match was against Bangladesh.

Karthik played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs, and 60 T20Is for India in a career that spanned nearly two decades. He made his international debut in the 50-overs one-day international format against England at Lord's in September 2004. 

Dinesh Karthik made his international debut against Australia in a test match in 2004. He played for India in all formats of cricket: tests, One-Day Internationals, and T20. 

He was never able to cement a permanent place in the Indian team and was constantly in and out of it.

After Mahendra Singh Dhoni's emergence, he played mainly as a batsman in the Indian side whenever he had the opportunity.

Dinesh Kartik was very active in domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In domestic cricket, he played for the Tamil Nadu cricket team.

Since the inauguration of the IPL in 2008, Dinesh Karthik has been a part of it. Dinesh Kartik played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In his  257-game career, Karthik scored 4842 runs at an average of 26.32.
