Bengaluru’s Namma Metro will cross 100 km for the first time when the Pink Line’s first section opens on 13 November 2026. This will make it the second-largest metro network in India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a 7.5-km elevated section of the Pink Line. It links Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere in south Bengaluru. The date was announced by Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya and Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda. The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) cleared the stretch on 28 October 2026, which was the last major step before passenger services.
