UP PCS Notification 2024 has been published, and candidates can submit the online application by 2 February 2024. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Personality Test for various administrative positions. The selection process of the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Service examination consists of the following three stages:
The preliminary exam will be objective in nature, including multiple-choice questions. There will be two papers worth 200 marks each.
Only such candidates will be eligible for the Main (written) examination who are declared successful in the Preliminary Examination. The nature of the main exam will be descriptive. In this phase, the candidates have to write answers/responses in answer sheets provided to them (pen and paper based exam).
Note:
Successful candidates must fill out another application form for the Main Examination, following the Commission's instructions.
The Personality Test (Personality Test) will be the final round of the selection process. The candidates who clear the final phase of the examination will be appointed to the positions after all their documents have been verified. Following the conclusion of the Selection Process, the final merit list will be released.
The UPPSC Exam Pattern has changed since the UPPCS Prelims in 2018. The new UPPSC Exam Pattern, the optional paper has been revamped and two papers (paper 5 and paper 6) based on Uttar Pradesh Special Knowledge have been introduced.
The Preliminary Examination, i.e. the first stage of the UPPSC exam, consists of two papers: Paper I (General Studies-I) and Paper II (General Studies-II or CSAT).

The UPPCS Admit Card will include your name, exam centre, photograph, and signature. Print multiple copies of the UPPCS Admit card to avoid any last-minute hassles. Candidates selected for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination will be paid in the range of Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar, whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs 5400/-.
