SSC Stenographer Result 2025-26 Declared: Check Final Merit List

SSC Stenographer Result 2026 has been declared on 18 June 2026 by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The SSC Stenographer 2025-26 Computer-Based Examination (CBE) was conducted from 6 to 8 August 2025, while the Skill Test for qualified candidates took place on 28 and 29 January 2026. A total of 8,624 candidates qualified for the Stenography Skill Test for Grade C, of whom 4,907 candidates appeared. For Grade D, 22,456 candidates were shortlisted for the Skill Test, and 12,564 candidates participated in the examination. 

Candidates who have appeared in the SSC Stenographer Exam 2026 can check and download the SSC Stenographer Result 2026 by visiting the official website of the SSC. SSC Stenographer Final Result 2026 has been released for Grade C and Grade D posts. The result PDF contains the roll numbers and names of candidates who have been shortlisted for final selection. 

Candidates shortlisted under the FRTA process must select their preferred venue, date, and time slot for the Sliding Process by logging in to the SSC portal between 19 June and 22 June 2026. Step 1: Visit the SSC’s official portal.

Step 2: On the homepage under the Quick Links section, click on the "Results" tab. 

Step 3: Under the result notifications, find and open the link for “Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination, 2025 – Candidates Provisionally Shortlisted for First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA)” corresponding to the post you applied for.

Step 4: A PDF file containing the names and roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates will appear on the screen. 

Step 5: After downloading the Steno Result PDF, use the “Ctrl+F” shortcut to quickly search for your name/roll number in the list.

SSC Stenographer Final Result for Grade C and D is declared by the SSC now. A total of 228 candidates are recommended for the Grade C position, and 1483 candidates are recommended for the Grade D. Check the category-wise recommended candidates from the table below:-

What After SSC Stenographer Result 2026?

Applicants provisionally allotted seats in the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) must undergo the Sliding Process as the next step in the selection and allocation process. To appear for this stage, candidates need to log in to the SSC portal and select their preferred venue, date, and time slot between 19 June 2026 and 22 June 2026.

The Sliding Process will be conducted at the respective SSC Regional Office cities on 1 July and 2 July 2026. Details regarding the venue address will be available in the candidate login while booking the slot. It is important to note that attendance at the Sliding Process is mandatory. Candidates who fail to appear in person on the scheduled date will be treated as absent and will not be considered for the final selection.
