Indian tennis player Yuki Bhambri and Australian Alexei Popyrin won the doubles title of the 2025 Dubai Open tennis tournament. It was the first ATP 500 doubles title for both the players.
The singles title of the Dubai Open was won by Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.
The $3,237,670 prize money Dubai Open was an ATP 500 event for the professional men’s tennis player. It was held from 24 February to 1 March 2025 at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The winner of the singles and double title won 500 ATP points. The winner of the singles title won $605,530 in prize money, while the doubles winner got $198,880 to be divided amongst the partners.
Swiss great Roger Federer has won the Dubai open singles title a record eight times and Novak Djokovic has won it 5 times.
The Dubai Open finals was the first ATP 500 doubles final for Yuki Bhambri and the Australian Alexei Popyrin in their entire tennis career.
In the final they defeated the pair of Henry Patten (Britain) and Harri Heliovaara (Finland) in a match that went to the super- tiebreaker.
The pair of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara are the doubles winners of the 2024 US Open and the 2025 Australian Open.
The Yuki Bhambri and Alexei Popyrin team was in fine form during the Dubai Open. In the quarter-finals, they defeated the world no.1 ranked doubles pair of El Salvador’s Marcelo Arevalo and Croatia’s Mate Pavic.
The Dubai Open title was the fourth ATP title for Yuki Bhambri. Previously he had won three ATP 250 doubles titles.
Stefanos Tsitsipas was third-time lucky at the Dubai Open. In the previous finals of 2019, he lost to Roger Federer, while in 2020, he lost to Novak Djokovic.
This time he made no mistake as he defeated Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada 6-3, 6-3 in the final.
It was the first ATP 500 title for Stefanos Tsitsipas and the 12th overall ATP title.
The victory in the Dubai Open also guaranteed his return to the Top 10 of the ATP Rankings.
