People have voted the ruling coalition Mahayuti & INDIA alliance back to power in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, respectively, with a bigger mandate in the recently held legislative assembly elections. The results of the recently held legislative assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand were declared on 23 November 2024. Results were also declared of the by-polls for 48 legislative assembly seats in various states and two Lok Sabha seats of Nanded in Maharashtra and Wayanad Lok Sabha in Kerala.
Ravindra Chavan of the Congress Party in Nanded and Priyanka Vadra in Wayanad won the Lok Sabha by-polls.
The Eknath Shinde-led Mahayuti coalition was voted back to power in Maharashtra with an absolute majority. The ruling Mahayuti, an alliance of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party, came back to power by winning 235 seats in the 288 Maharashtra legislative assembly.
The Opposition alliance MVA(Mahavikas Agadhi) of the Congress Party, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), and Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) was reduced to 40 seats.
The election to constitute the 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly was held in two phases-13 and 20 November 2024.
The counting of votes took place on 23 November 2024.

Hemant Soren's led INDIA alliance was swept back to power with a thumping majority in the recently concluded legislative assembly. The ruling INDIA alliance, consisting of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress Party, Rashtriya Janata Dal, and Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) (Liberation), won 56 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand legislative assembly.
The opposition National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, All Jharkhand Student Union, Janata Dal(United), and Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas), won 24 seats.
The election to constitute the 6th Jharkhand Legislative Assembly was held on 20 November 2024.
