Bangladesh has won the Under-19 Asia Cup 2023 title for the first time by defeating United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the final. The Under-19 Asia Cup 2023 was held in the UAE from 8 to 17 December.

Highlights of Under-19 Asia Cup 2023:

In the final match of Under-19 Asia Cup 2023, Bangladesh defeated UAE by 195 runs and captured the title for the first time.
Playing first in the final match of Under-19 Asia Cup, Bangladesh scored 282 runs losing eight wickets in 50 overs. In response to which UAE could score only 87 runs after losing all its wickets in 24.5 overs.
Bangladesh's Ashikur Rahman Shibli (129 runs off 149 balls) was chosen as the player of the match.
Ashiqur Rahman Shibli was adjudged Player of the Tournament for scoring 378 runs with the help of two centuries and two half-centuries in 5 innings of the Asia Cup.
The Bangladesh team was led (captain) by Mahfuzur Rahman Rabbi.

Performance of Indian team in Under-19 Asia Cup:

The Indian team lost to Bangladesh in the second semi-final of the Under-19 Asia Cup held on 17 December 2023.
In the Under-19 Asia Cup, the Indian team was captained by Uday Saharan, vice-captain Soumya Kumar Pandey and Aravelli Avnish Rao as the wicketkeeper.
India had won two of its three matches in the group stage. But the team could not win against Bangladesh.
Batting first after losing the toss, the Indian innings was reduced to 188 runs after losing all the wickets. Which Bangladesh team easily won.
