Aero India 2027: Dates, Venue & Organisers of the 16th Edition

Aero India 2027, the 16th edition of Asia's largest airshow, will be organised at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru, Karnataka, from February 8 to 12, 2027. The biennial event falls under the Ministry of Defence framework, with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) as the nodal agency and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) as a supporting organisation. The event will bring together aircraft manufacturers, defence firms, military delegations, and aerospace stakeholders from across the world.

Aero India 2027 is India’s biennial Largest airshow

Aero India takes place once every two years, giving India's aerospace and defence sector a recurring global platform. The previous edition, Aero India 2025, the 15th, was held from 10 to 14 February 2025, also at Yelahanka. The last two editions used the theme "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities," which focused on expanding aerospace manufacturing, indigenous innovation, and global partnerships in India

Dates, Venue & Organisers of the Aero India 2027

1. Aero India 2027, the 16th Aero India International Exhibition and Conference, will be a five-day show held in February 2027 at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru, Karnataka. 
2. The event is organised by the Defence Exhibition Organisation (DEO) under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, with the Indian Air Force, HAL, DRDO, Department of Space, and Ministry of Civil Aviation as co-organisers. 
3. Aero India has run biennially in odd-numbered years since its first edition in 1996. 
4. Aero India sits alongside the Singapore Airshow, Dubai Airshow, Farnborough International Airshow, and Paris Air Show as one of the world's flagship aerospace-defence events.

Defence Manufacturing and Export Targets Linked to Aero India

The Government of India has set a target of ₹3 lakh crore in defence manufacturing and ₹50,000 crore in defence exports by 2029-30. Aero India is positioned as a key platform supporting this goal, linking public sector undertakings, private manufacturers, and foreign exhibitors within India's aerospace ecosystem.
