The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2023 Result on 08 December 2023. UPSC conducted the Civil Services Mains (written) Examination from 15 September to 24 September at various centres across the Nation. Candidates who appeared in the CSE (Mains) 2023 can download their results from the official website of the commission (upsc.gov.in) which is available in PDF format. All candidates who have been provisionally shortlisted for the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and other Central Services (Groups 'A' and 'B') will now be required to appear for the Personality Test (Interview).

Step 1. Visit the official website of the UPSC.
Step 2. Look for the “What's New” section on the homepage.
Step 3. Click on the “Written Result: Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023” link.
Step 4. A Result PDF will open, displaying the roll numbers of the candidates provisionally shortlisted for the Civil Services post.
Step 5. Search for your roll number using the Ctrl+F key in the PDF and download the PDF for future reference.

As per the examination guidelines, all successful candidates need to fill out the UPSC Civil Services Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) 2023, a comprehensive form, available on the Commission's official website. Candidates must submit this form online, accompanied by scanned copies of relevant certificates.
The UPSC DAF 2023 will be accessible on the website from 09th December 2023 to 15th December 2023 till 6:00 P.M. Candidates have to mandatorily give the preferences of the service in the online Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II).
Note:
According to the Cadre Allocation Policy applicable for the Civil Services Examination 2023, candidates who wish to indicate IAS/IPS as their Service preference are advised to indicate all Zones and Cadres in the order of preference in their online Detailed Application Form-II."
According to the notice, candidates whose names appear on the list of qualified candidates for the Interview will be required to produce original certificates in support of their eligibility/reservation claims, such as age, educational qualifications, community, economically weaker section, Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and other documents such as TA Form, etc., at the time of their Personality Test (Interview). As a result, these candidates should keep the documents listed in the notice on hand.
The UPSC Civil Services interview schedule for candidates who qualify for the Personality Test will be uploaded on the Commission's official website in due course. Although, the exact interview date will be communicated to candidates via email. Therefore, it's recommended to check your email for further updates.
Please note that requests for changing the Personality Test date and time will not be considered by the UPSC authorities under any circumstances.
The candidates' UPSC Combined Civil Services mark sheets will be available on the UPSC website within 15 days of the final result announcement (after the Personality Test) and will remain on the website for a further 30 days.
