UPSC ESE Notification is out with the vacancy announcement of the 2025 year for the Engineering Services posts. Approximately 457 vacancies are expected to be filled through this UPSC ESE/IES, including 22 positions reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). This includes 13 vacancies for individuals with Locomotor Disabilities (such as those cured of leprosy, those with dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy) and 9 vacancies for those who are Hard of Hearing. The number of vacancies for the UPSC ESE is subject to change.
Additionally, reservations will be made for candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, in accordance with government regulations.

To be eligible for UPSC ESE Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet one of the following educational qualifications:
(a) Possess a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.
(b) Have successfully passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
(c) Hold a degree or diploma in Engineering from a foreign University/College/Institution, under conditions recognized by the Government for this purpose, as may be determined from time to time.
(d) Have passed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
(e) Have passed the Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
(f) Have successfully completed the Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London, conducted after November 1959.

UPSC ESE Cut-off Marks 2025 will be announced, once the exam is conducted. According to the UPSC ESE Notification issued by the UPSC, the Commission will create a list of candidates eligible for the Engineering Services (Main/Stage-II) Examination based on the minimum qualifying marks in both the General Studies and Engineering Aptitude Paper (Paper-I) and the Engineering Discipline-specific paper (Paper-II) of the Preliminary/Stage-I Examination. Candidates who achieve the minimum qualifying marks set by the Commission in both Stage-I (Preliminary) and Stage-II (Main) Examinations will be called for Stage-III, which is the Personality Test.
The UPSC ESE salary varies by level, ranging from a grade pay of 5,400 to 8,700, depending on the engineer's experience.
