UPSC IES Final Result 2023 Declared- Download Merit List & Cut-off PDF

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the final result of the Indian Engineering Service Examination (IES) on 22 November 2023. The successful candidates will now be recommended to be appointed under different disciplines of the services/posts under the Government of India. A total of 401 candidates have been selected to be appointed to the Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, electronics and Telecommunication Engineering posts of the Engineering services. 

UPSC ESE Final Result 2023

Candidates who took the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2023, can see their results at upsc.gov.in, the UPSC's official website. The Union Public Service Commission has recommended a total of 401 candidates including 178  for civil engineering, 46 for mechanical engineering, 64 for electrical engineering, and 113 for electronics and telecommunications engineering posts. Note:

The commission has kept the results of 104 candidates provisional, which will not be issued till the Commission verifies the original documents (awaited from such candidates) and clears their provisional status. Candidate have to submit their original documents to the commission by 21 February 2024. If any candidate fails to submit the requisite documents, as required by the Commission, within the prescribed period, his/her candidature will be cancelled and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard. 

UPSC IES Final Result Overview 2023

The main written exam was taken in June 2023, followed by the Personality Tests (interviews) between September and November 2023. Candidates who passed both phases have been recommended for appointment to various services and positions within the relevant Ministries and Departments. Candidates can follow the simple steps mentioned below to download their UPSC IES Final Result 2023 from the website of the commission:

Step 1: The result can be accessed by visiting the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Navigate to and click on the link for 'UPSC ESE Final Result 2023' under the What’s News section on the home page.

Step 3: When you click, a new PDF file will open with the detailed results for you to evaluate.

Step 4: Use the Ctrl+F key to find your roll number in the result PDF.

Step 5: Download the result PDF and retain a hard copy for future reference to ensure simple retrieval.
