Government of India Launch Livestock Insurance Portal in New Delhi

The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD) will launch the Livestock Insurance Portal on 28 September 2026 in New Delhi. Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh), who holds the Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj portfolios, will launch it. The event will be held at Chandralok Bhawan.

Livestock Insurance Portal to Offer Digital Insurance Services in 11 Regional Languages Along with Hindi and English

The portal will be a single online platform for the Livestock Insurance Scheme of the department. Farmers will be able to use it for policy issuance, claim processing, monitoring and reporting of insured animals.

To make it easy to use, it will work in 11 regional languages, along with Hindi and English. This means livestock farmers can read information and use services in a language they know well.

The government wants insurance services to be more transparent, quick and easy to reach. The aim is to protect farmers from the loss of animals and support their livelihood.
