The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced tentative vacancies through a short notification for RRB Group D Recruitment 2025, indicating the pay level and the total number of vacancies for Level 1 posts. As per the short notice, 22,000 vacancies (tentative) have been announced for RRB Group D posts. RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2025 

RRB Group D Notification 2025 contains detailed eligibility criteria for the Group D positions. Before proceeding with the online application, it is strongly recommended that candidates must verify that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria specified for the post(s) as of the application closing date, i.e., 20 February 2025. Nationality

To be eligible for the RRB Group D positions, a candidate must meet one of the following nationality criteria:

1. The candidate of RRB Group D posts must be a citizen of India or Nepal.
2. The candidate can be a subject of Bhutan.
3. The candidate can be a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
4. Candidates who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire, or Vietnam intend to settle in India permanently.

Note:- Candidates who are not Indian citizens must obtain a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit 

To apply for the RRB Group D positions, candidates must be between 18 and 36 years of age as of 1 January 2026. While the standard age limit was originally set at 18 to 33 years, the Railway Recruitment Board has granted a one-time age relaxation of 3 years for the upper age limit. This decision aims to provide relief to candidates who may have surpassed the age limit and missed previous recruitment opportunities due to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Relaxation Age

Note:- If a candidate is eligible for age relaxation on more than one ground, they will receive the highest applicable relaxation (but not cumulative). No age relaxation will be granted to SC/ST/OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates applying for unreserved vacancies. PwBD candidates applying for unreserved vacancies will be given age relaxation as per the norms for UR PwBD candidates only.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required for RRB Group D positions, as specified in the RRB Group D Notification 2025, is a 10th pass, ITI, or an equivalent qualification, or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the NCVT. Candidates who are awaiting the final results of the required educational qualifications, where the results will be declared after the closing date for online application submission, are not eligible to apply.

RRB Group D Application Process 2025

The RRB Group D Application Dates have been announced, and candidates are advised to submit their online applications well before the deadline for RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 by following the steps outlined below:

1. Start by visiting the respective Railway Recruitment Board website.
2. Click on the 'New Registration' link.
3. Fill in the required details such as name, Aadhaar Number, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, SSLC/Matric registration number, mobile number, email ID,  year of passing and submit the registration form.
4. After registration, verify your email ID and mobile number through OTP.
5. Login to the home page using your registration number and password.
6. Provide details like educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen status, CCAA, Minority status, Economically Backward Class Age Relaxation, and other personal information.
7. Indicate your priority/preference for the posts you are applying for.
8. Complete the payment process through Online Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI or Offline Challan.
9. Choose your preferred exam language and enter the valid photo ID card details.
10. Enter bank details for fee refund (if applicable).
11. Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature in the specified format. SC/ST candidates should also upload their category certificates.
12. Agree to the terms and conditions and submit the application form and take a Screenshot of the final page for future reference.

Candidates are required to pay the application fee according to their community or category. The fee must be paid online using internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI. All related service charges will be borne by the candidate. Payment via any other method is not permitted.

RRB Group D 2025 Selection Process

According to the RRB Group D Notification 2025, the selection process for the RRB Group D positions will consist of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): This will be a single-stage exam, but the Railway Administration reserves the right to conduct it in either a single or multi-stage mode. The CBT will assess your knowledge in subjects such as General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Awareness and Current Affairs.
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) based on their merit in the Computer-Based Test (CBT). The number of candidates invited for the PET will be three times the total number of vacancies in each community, as per the vacancies notified by the respective RRBs/RRCs. However, the Railway Administration reserves the right to adjust this ratio to ensure a sufficient and reasonable number of candidates are available for all the notified posts.It is essential to note that passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory, and the PET will be qualifying in nature.
3. Medical Examination: After the PET, candidates will have to undergo a medical examination to assess their overall health and fitness for the job.
4. Document Verification: This stage will verify the accuracy of all the information provided by the candidate in the application form.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern

RRB Group D Result 2025

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will announce the RRB Group D Result 2025 for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) after the examination is conducted. RRB Group D 2025 Exam Cut-off 

The RRB Group D Cut-off Marks 2025 will be announced by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) along with the declaration of the RRB Group D Result 2025. As per the details provided in the RRB Group D Notification 2025, the minimum qualifying marks required for shortlisting based on the candidate's community are as follows:

• UR: 40%
• EWS: 40%
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 30%
