RRB ALP 2024 Selection Process

Applicants aspiring to be appointed as RRB ALPs should familiarize themselves with the Selection Process and strategize their preparation accordingly. The RRB ALP selection process comprises five stages, outlined as follows:

  • CBT Stage 1: The RRB ALP CBT I comprises objective-type qualifying questions, with a total of 75 questions and 75 marks.
  • CBT Stage 2: Successful candidates from CBT I proceed to the RRB ALP CBT II exam, which is divided into Part A and Part B. Part B serves as a qualifying round, while Part A marks determine advancement to the next selection stage.
  • Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): To qualify, candidates must attain a minimum score of 42 on each test battery. The ALP merit list considers candidates who qualify for the Aptitude Test, assigning 70% weightage to marks in Part A of the Second Stage CBT and 30% weightage to scores in the Computer-Based Aptitude Test.
  • Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification for the ALP position are based on CBT 2 Part A results, provided they pass Part B and CBAT. Original documents requested by RRBs must be presented on the verification day. Failure to submit genuine documents or the discovery of fake documents leads to the cancellation of candidature.
