RPF Constable 2024 Vacancy

RPF Constable Vacancies 2024 have been announced by the RPF with the RPF Constable Notification 2024. A total of 4208 vacancies are going to be filled through this recruitment drive. The number of vacancies may fluctuate based on the needs of the Railway Administration.

RPF Constable Eligibility Criteria 2024

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the RPF Constable position must hold the educational qualifications specified in the CEN from a recognized university by the final application submission date, which is 14 May 2024. They should have passed the 10th standard or its equivalent from a recognized board. Individuals awaiting the results of their final examination for the prescribed educational qualification are advised against applying.

RPF Constable Application Process

For the RPF Constable position, applications can be submitted from15 April to 14 May 2024 by visiting the official website of the Railway Protection Force. If you encounter any difficulties during the application process, follow the instructions below:

1. Begin by accessing the official website of the Railway Protection Force.
2. Register on the recruitment portal by entering essential details such as your name, contact information, and email address. Upon completion, you will receive a unique registration ID and password.
3. Log in using the provided registration ID and password.
4. Fill out the application form with necessary details, including personal information, educational qualifications, and any other relevant data.
5. You will be prompted to upload scanned copies of required documents such as your photograph, signature, and relevant certificates. Ensure these documents adhere to specified size and format guidelines.
6. Pay the application fee according to your category through online methods such as net banking, debit/credit cards or other available channels.
7. Check the final application page thoroughly to verify the accuracy of the provided information. Once satisfied, submit your application.
8. Finally, take a printout of the final page for your records.

Application Fees 

To finalize the RPF Constable Application Process, candidates are required to pay the prescribed fees based on their categories. Application fee payments can be submitted online only via debit/credit cards, internet banking or UPI. Candidates must bear any applicable service charges. RPF Constable 2024 Selection Process

RPF Constable Selection Process 2024 comprises three different stages. Candidates have to go through all three stages to get shortlisted as RPF Constable position. You can check the recruitment process in detail below:-

(i) Computer-Based Test:- The RPF Constable Computer Based Test will be conducted as the first phase of the recruitment process. The examination will be conducted at the 10th/Matric level standard. The marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be considered for shortlisting candidates for subsequent stages of the recruitment process.

(ii) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Measurement Test (PMT):-  For the RPF Constable PET/PMT, candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the CBT will be summoned for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification (DV). The number of candidates called for these tests will be up to 10 times the number of vacancies in each category for Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen as per merit.

Passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory, and it will be considered as a qualifying criterion without any marks being awarded. Refer to the table below for the PET & PMT parameters:

(iii) Document Verification (DV):- Based on candidates' performance in the CBT and provided they qualify in the PET & PMT, they will proceed to Document Verification. The appointment of selected candidates is contingent upon them passing the requisite Medical Fitness Test administered by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and category certificates, scrutiny of character and antecedents by the local Administration, and successful completion of initial training.

Candidates failing to appear for Document Verification will not be considered for final selection, regardless of their performance in the CBT and PET/PMT. Those shortlisted for DV must present all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies during the DV process.

RPF Constable Exam Pattern

RPF Constable Exam Pattern 2024 has been detailed in the RPF Constable Notification. Candidates should go through with the RPF Constable Exam Examination Pattern first to kick  start their preparation. Check the table to know the RPF Constable 2024 Exam Pattern below:-

• The examination will be conducted at the 10th/Matric level standard with a total duration of 90 minutes. 
• There will be a total of 120 objective-type questions with multiple-choice answers.
• Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer while no marks will be awarded or deducted for unanswered questions.
• Negative marking will be applied at the rate of 1/3rd marks for each incorrect answer.
• Marks normalization will be implemented for CBTs conducted across multiple shifts.
• The minimum pass percentage for eligibility is as follows: UR, EWS, and OBC-NCL - 35% and SC & ST - 30%.
