What is NORCET 10 2026

NORCET refers to the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test. NORCET 10 Eligibility Criteria 2026 

Candidates should check the NORCET 10 Eligibility Criteria first before they want to apply for the NORCET 10 Recruitment 2026. NORCET Eligibility Criteria typically consist of educational Qualification and age limit with some relaxation upper age limit for special categories. Age Limit 

Candidates’ age should be between 18 to 30 years old to apply for NORCET 10.

Educational Qualification for NORCET 10

Candidates who want to apply for NORCET 10 should have the following education qualifications:-

1. a. B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Institute or University recognized by the Indian or State Nursing Council 

OR 

B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Institute/University recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council.

b. Should be registered as Nurses & Midwife with the State / Indian Nursing Council.

OR

2. a. Completion of a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Institute, Board, or Council recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.

b. Should be registered as Nurses & Midwife with the State / Indian Nursing Council.

c. Two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned above, as applicable for all Participating AIIMS.

AIIMS NORCET 10 Application Process

NORCET 10 Application Window 2026 will soon be opened by the AIIMS and candidates who want to apply for the NORCET 10 can submit their applications by following the steps below carefully:-

1. Go to the official AIIMS website.
2. On the homepage, navigate to the "Recruitment" section and choose "Nursing Officer." 
3. Then, click on the link titled “Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-8)” to access the application portal.
4. Select the "New Registration" tab and enter your credentials to register.
5. After registering, login with your credentials to complete the NORCET application form.
6. To complete the NORCET Application, upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee based on your category.
7. Print the final page of the application form for your records.

NORCET 10 Required Documents for Applications 

Candidates are required to provide the following documents to complete the NORCET 10 Application Process:-

• Recent passport-size photograph
• Scanned signature
• Date of Birth (DOB) proof (Class 10 certificate or birth certificate)
• Nursing qualification certificates (GNM / B.Sc Nursing/equivalent)
• Nursing registration certificate (State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council)
• Internship completion certificate (if applicable)

To complete the application process, candidates need to pay the application fee. The NORCET application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. NORCET 10 2026 Selection Process

AIIMS NORCET Selection Process 2026 consists of two written examinations and Document Verifications. As per the 2026 recruitment schedule, individuals applying for the AIIMS Nursing Officer position are required to take written tests i.e. Online (CBT) for Stage I: NORCET Preliminary Exam and Online (CBT) for Stage II: NORCET Mains. Successful candidates in the written test will be notified to undergo the document verification process.

AIIMS NORCET 10 Exam Pattern

NORCET 10 Exam Dates are out and candidates should start their preparation now to score well in the NORCET 10 2026 Exam. Candidates preparing for the NORCET Exam 2026 should review the exam pattern for both the Prelims and Mains to tailor their preparation accordingly. Below is the Nursing Officer Exam Pattern for both stages in 2026:

NORCET 10 Preliminary Exam Pattern

• The NORCET Preliminary stage is a qualifying exam. Candidates who pass this test will be eligible to take Stage II: NORCET Main.
• The exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) worth 100 marks, with four options for each question.
• The duration of the Preliminary exam is 90 minutes.
• 20 MCQs will cover General Knowledge and Aptitude and 80 MCQs will be based on the Nursing syllabus at the essential qualification level.
• There will be a penalty of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
• The question paper will be divided into 5 sections, each lasting 18 minutes, with 20 questions in each section.

NORCET 10 Main Exam Pattern

• The exam will consist of 160 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) worth 160 marks, with four options for each question.
• These questions will cover the entire Nursing syllabus at the essential qualification level and focus on case scenario-based questions to assess nursing skills competency.
• The duration of the NORCET Main examination is 180 minutes.
• There will be a penalty of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
• The question paper will be divided into 4 sections, each lasting 45 minutes, with 40 questions in each section.

AIIMS NORCET 10 2026 Admit Card

Candidates are instructed to download their NORCET Admit Card from the AIIMS, once it’s issued by the AIIMS. Admit cards will not be sent by post and physical copies are not available. It is advised that candidates bring the downloaded Admit Card from the AIIMS website to the Online (CBT) mode Examination and submit it to the Invigilator upon completion of the Examination. Failing to do so will result in the non-consideration of their candidature/performance in the Online (CBT) mode Examination. NORCET 10 Answer Key 2026

After the completion of the AIIMS Nursing Officer Exam 2026, candidates will be able to check the NORCET Answer Key 2026 and raise their objections in the stipulated time frame by paying the required fee. AIIMS NORCET 10 Result 2026 

The AIIMS NORCET Result 2026 will be published by AIIMS following the successful conclusion of the AIIMS NORCET Exam 2026. It is important to note that NORCET Preliminary results will not influence the final Merit/Rank for selection. The Merit List of eligible candidates will be formulated based on their performance in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) and adherence to qualifying criteria in Stage II NORCET Mains exclusively. NORCET 10 2026 Exam Cut-off

The AIIMS will release the AIIMS Nursing Officer 8 Cut-off Marks in PDF format simultaneously with the result announcement. The minimum qualifying marks in the NORCET Examination are set at 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for OBC, and 40% for SC & ST candidates.

AIIMS NORCET 10 2026 Salary

Upon successfully clearing the NORCET-8 Exam, the appointed candidates for Nursing Officer posts will be placed at Level 07 in the Pay Matrix, with a pre-revised Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 and a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-. This position falls under Group B and is applicable for AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS institutions based on the available vacancies in the respective Institutes.
