The selection process for the post of UPPSC Staff Nurse will consist of three stages:-

• Written Exam (Prelims + Mains)
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination

UPPSC Staff Nurse Exam Pattern 2023 

For the UPPSC Staff Nurse recruitment, candidates will have to appear in both Preliminary and Main exams, each with its distinct characteristics. 

Prelims Exam Pattern (Objective Type)

• The total number of questions is 170, with an associated score of 85 marks, which means every question carrying half (½) marks. 
• The subjects covered include Nursing, General Knowledge, and General Hindi.
• Exam will be conducted in 120 minutes and uses a negative marking scheme of one third (⅓) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty. 

Mains Exam Pattern (Conventional Type)

• The total duration of the Mains Exam is 3 hours.
• The exam will be conducted for a total of 85 marks and questions  are to be answered in descriptive mode (pen and paper based mode). 
• In the Mains Exam, candidates will encounter descriptive questions, split into two parts, i.e. Part A and Part B.

• Word Limit: 125

Part B:

• Total Questions: 6 (Choose any 4 to attempt)
