When it comes to Indian Air Force Agniveer eligibility criteria, the IAF is highly demanding. Candidates who meet all requirements will be able to take the Indian Air Force Agniveer test pattern. Those who do not comply will be rejected from the screening process.
Only Indian citizens (male & female) are eligible to apply for the Agniveer Vayu Intanke 2025.
To be eligible for the Agniveer Vayu Intake, candidates should be born between 2 January 2004 to 2 July 2007 (inclusive of both dates). Upon successfully clearing all phases of the Selection Procedure, candidates must not exceed 21 years of age as of the enrollment date

OR Passed a three-year diploma course in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from a Central, State, or UT-recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% in aggregate and 50% in English in Diploma Course (or Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). Note - 1: Candidates who are eligible for the Science Subjects examination (including Intermediate/ 10+2/three years' diploma course in engineering or two years' vocational course with non-vocational subjects of Physics and Maths) are also eligible for the Other than Science Subjects examination and will be given the option of appearing in both Science Subjects and Other than Science Subjects examination in one sitting when filling out the online registration form.
Note - 2: Only the exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of the 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination/Three Years Diploma Course/Two Years Vocational Course OR calculated per the rules of the concerned Education Board / Polytechnic Institute shall be considered (for example, 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not rounded off to 50%).

The candidate's anatomy should be normal, with no missing appendages. He or she must be free of any active or latent medical or surgical impairment, communicable disease, infection, or skin condition, whether acute or chronic. The candidate must be physically and intellectually fit to serve in any location, in any climate or terrain.

The candidate must pay the online examination fee while registering for the examination, otherwise, their application will not be accepted. Payment can be done via the payment gateway using Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Internet Banking.
The selection process of Agniveer Vayu consists of 3 phases explained below:-
The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be objective type and questions in this examination will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for English paper. Candidates opting for both Science subjects and other Science subjects will have to attempt a single online test, which will be conducted in one sitting, on the same system. Candidates are required to bring one blue or black ball pen and an original AADHAR card for Phase-I testing.
After clearing the Phase-I Computer Based Test the SHORTLISTED candidates will be qualified for the Phase-II test at a designated ASC. This phase includes the following assessments:
At their respective ASCs, candidates who qualify for Adaptability Test-II will receive a medical appointment letter.
The Air Force Medical Team will conduct a medical examination in accordance with IAF medical standards and current policy on the subject matter. Medical examination will include the following Baseline Investigation of the candidate:-
Note: Candidates who have been convicted medically unfit may appeal to the 'Appeal Medical Board' (AMB) by depositing Rs. 40/- in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI via an Electronic Military Receivable Order/ Military Receivable Order (e MRO/ MRO).
The AMB application, along with an original copy of the e-MRO/MRO and a photocopy of the Unfitness Certificate, must be sent to the ASC representative within three working days of the medical examination.
During the initial medical examination, appeal medical board, and medical examination prior to enrolling, the recruitment medical officer and specialist doctors of the Armed Forces are the final authorities on declaring a candidate fit or unsuitable.
Candidates will be subject to Armed Forces standards, which may differ from civil standards. After the appeal to the medical board, there is no provision for representation or review.
The exam pattern for Phase - 1 (Science and Other than Science subjects) as well as for the Phase 2 Physical Fitness Test (PFT) has been explained in detail below.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a designated ASC for a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), which will consist of a 1.6-kilometer run that must be completed in seven minutes for male candidates and eight minutes for female candidates. To qualify for the Physical Fitness Test, male candidates must accomplish 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats in the allotted time.

All applicants who pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) must undergo the Adaptability Test-I (objective type written test) to determine their suitability for employment in the IAF, which includes deployment in a variety of geographic topography, weather, and operational conditions.
According to current policy, all applicants who pass the Adaptability Test-I must take the Adaptability Test-II. The purpose of the Adaptability Test-II is to select individuals who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and adjust to military life.
